Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Guys, do you feel there is a pontential for VR KW+KW?

Depends on the keywords but yes with the right keywords there is potential.

Sometimes it is needed to describe a specific niche.

I have VR Interior Design.com which I believe does have potential.

What kind of examples were you thinking of?

past sales says mostly no. future says there is always potential for anything in vr domains.
but future also says some things will have more potential than others.

it's a bright vr future though!

cheers

Don't think much can really be determined as yet though from past sales in VR because the top domains have yet to trade hands and the few that might have wen't for bargains.

I think it is always a good idea to also look at keyword sales outside of VR. If a keyword sold well outside of VR and you can see a practicle use for that keyword within VR then it might be worth considering.

But yes you are spot on, the future does look bright :)

yes definitely its always good to have hundreds of sales in VR from past and up to now... especially when the other option is to have none or a handful like for some other niches.. its crucial to me to have that when investing.. it's part of the whole package and decision making about investment niches. along with research.. news.. etc ... etc..

but I totally agree with you that a good way to view VR+kw or vr+2kw domaining is by simply having look around at non VR domain niches.. and see how double keywords work there..
and so double keywords is always secondary and worse than single keywords/category killers.. but it still works great for many 2kw.com and fetches tons of money.. from buycar.com to bestinsurance.com or hundreds of other top value 2word dn examples

cheers

Naturally 2 word domains work. I all depends on the domain name.

What is a better domain for travel insurance than travelinsurance.com?

travel.com?
insurance.com?

Why is this even an issue? Let's get back to topic.

Another little VR sale to report this morning...

Domain name: V/R/v/e/s/t dot com
Sale venue: ParkingCrew ported over to DNS / incoming inquiry
Listing type: Make offer
Seller: DNS
Sale price: $1138
Purchase price: hand-reg

Hated to let it go at that price, but had to sacrifice one of my babies to feed the renewal-fee Gods! ;)

good sale!
vests and VR.. I can see it. but more importantly, so could your buyer.
probably enduser?

what do you mean by porting? do you send all your PC inquiries over to dns brokers? there is fees... and u do not get to handle your own negotiations and sale.

@alcy, yes, I have some of my domains that are parked at ParkingCrew set up to directly send inquiries to my broker(s) at DNS/Uniregistry, without my intervention... (Their system can be configured to do that... ) As to whether or not to use a broker for a particular sale, well, I decide that on a case-by-case basis... (I've just recently started using DNS/Uniregistry to broker some of my names, and the results to date have been pretty good, but the jury is still out as to whether it is worth the avg. 15% commission fee...)

That sold cheap.
oh you r so right! when I see that it irks me a bit !

as my mantra goes these days especially for vr/ar/360 the more we ask for our valuable property whichever it is will drive others to follow.

not sure what the value actually is but would have listed it for $15,000 very minimum but heck that's me. especially a 4l dot com in vr , hmmm, just saying.

leaving $$|$$ on th4e table at this stage in the vr game is understandable especially those who obviously do not know the actual value of some domains as in this case but that's ok , just saying

anyhow great buy and good luck on that beauty who ever owns it now!
