Started a series called Brandable Daily Sales Analysis and would like to share some useful discoveries.
Lets now dive in.

First would be Fitalytics (dot) com

Note the following.

Registration Date: 2010-06-02

Month of Sale: 2016-05

Domain Length: 10 Characters

Domain History:

As you can see the current nameserver from the image suggests that the domain was recently added to brandbucket marketplace. Also that the domain was first registered back in 2008 although the current registration date is 2010-06-02 We can also see that it’s very likely that the domain has changed hands prior its sale on brandbucket.

Other Extensions : 1 other extensions has been taken

Google Popularity: On Google first page results it has 9 similar mentions excluding where domain is brandbucket. The most interesting part is that the name “Fitalytic” was mentioned on CrunchBase. We can conclude that it’s Google Popularity is strong.

Social Handles: It’sTwitter has been taking since 2012. The Facebook handle has also been taken.

Dictionary Keywords: Fit, and Italy.

Brandbucket Sold Keyword: Aly Example of sold domain that contain such keyword dailydealy.com .

Other Keywords: Taly, Alytic, Aly

Similar End User Domain currently in use: talytics.com This simply suggests some trends from the word Alytic.

If WHOIS based, it's possible the WHOIS didn't update as both were secondary market purchases.

That's a very interesting discovery Mr domain detective

. It could be the reason but I have no way to confirm this as of now.

I thought it would be interesting to look at past sold domains in the market that are now available for hand reg. Below is a sample of a few. Maybe it would be a good idea to look at dropped domains that sold in the market for high $x,xxx. Maybe there are worth re registering maybe they are not.

TBH, they are kind of crap (to me). So I guess I know why they are dropped now :P

I know but couldn't get my head around why it was purchased in the first place. Probably a larger sample would be more interesting to look at.

Not on BB but on general market you can find the sales date on namebio.
I have witness some bb sold domain even dropped after buyer spending $x,xxx
A dropped sold domain doesn't necessarily mean it will ever have chance to resale again..

Looks like Michael sold SimpleFeast.com to a startup. They moved the domain to Amazon.

Not sure, the name is under privacy, I will have to check. I should not have put of the same name. That's not verified yet.

Before rushing to buy domains on this, determine if just true for brandbucket marketplace or more marketplaces
Determine how many other startups on crunchbase has a domain ending with "xo" or contains tech..

Techpixo sold for low xxxx on flippa, a few 5l and 6l ending in xo on godaddy for low xxx. Pexxo for 1000 on uniregistry. The rest are 4Ls with normal prices to me.

Pretty odd indeed. I mean, they are both dictionary words (I admit I had to Google ecru tho) but even then I find them extremely mediocre in the .io extension and far from brandable.

I believe the term “dictionary word”, in a domaining context, is almost always used to describe a word that is so common and well known that you don’t have to look it up in a dictionary to know the meaning of it.
