Hello NamePros,

Every day I go through the drop lists and I compile a list of the best names I find. From now, on I will be sharing that list with you, guys. I will start with .Com names, then, if people are benefiting from the list, I will add more TLD's. Your valuable opinions, ideas and criticism help me improve, so please share them here so we all benefit.

Arent expired domains after pending delete? Pending delete are about to be available to be registered and expired domains can already be registered again.
No the expired status is the period that starts when the owner of the domain fails to renew the domain. After 40 days in the expired status, a domain goes through the Redemptive period where the owner has to pay the standard renewal fee plus some other fees, if he/she wants to recover the domain. After 20 days in the redemptive period, the domain finally enters the pending delete period, this period is where the owner cant do anything to recover the domain and it will be available to be regd again after 5 days.

Huh? But all the domains in the "expired.com" filter are available for reg.

Btw, this is my last question (i hope). How do you guys use namebio to help look if a domain is worth it? I mean, if you enter that domain in namebio and it hasnt been sold yet, how does it help you?

Maybe this will clear up the confusion. You use namebio to compare. Forexample lets say you just bought NNNN.com domain, so you go over to namebio and see the list of NNNN.coms that sold and their price and whether their price is increasing or decreasing. Based on that, you set your price. Hope this helped.

Yeah i know. I am more talking about "normal" domains. But i figured then when he talked about looking up their value at namebio, that he is talking strictly about domains like LLLL NNNN or something like that, not normal keyword domains.

So to sum it all up:

1. go to expireddomains.net
2. use the "pending delete" domains filter.
3. filter the crap out.
4. at 1pm-2pm cst is drop hour, where you repeatedly look for the availability of your domains list at namebright and reg the domains as soon as they are available.
5. profit.

Thank you for your guys help! You guys were a great help!

One extra tip is adding money to your account greatly increases your chances of catching and reging the name. So i suggest you put 10-20$ in your account. In that way, you can checkout quickly.

Well, depends if the hoster has some kind of "balance". I usually reg at the host that has the cheapest domains currently. But thanks for the tip! Later i will do my own list (but with much less names, not enough money nor time to look through all current 5600 domains lol). Lets see if I can grab something nice tomorrow.

Also, are domains listed at GoDaddy closeouts also pending delete domains that become avilable the moment the aution ends?

If you win a closeout auction, gd will send you a receipt for your payments but the domain wont be available immediately. It will take upto 5 days for it to show up on your domain list.

No, I mean if the domains at GD Closeouts are also pending delete. So if the auction closes without any bids, the domain immediatly becomes available for reg.

The more I try catching good domains, the more I hate dropcatching services........

Some good ones can still be grabbed by hand, but the best are pretty much always gonna go to the big drop catch companies.

Very True.

And sad. I wish this dropcatching would be prohibited. Everyone should have the same chance of catching a domain, not only the ones with the most money.

EDIT: You would think the domain "autosexport.com" wouldnt get dropcatched...

EDIT2: MotorcycleUS.com too.... jesus, all the good domains I have searched for more than an hour got dropcatched.

You'd need to get used to that if you want to play the dropcatch game. You'll miss most of the names you want, but -provided you're targeting good names- the few you catch should be enough to make you a few $$.

Thanks @Finest

I am a big fan of you and your list. Thanks, man :)

Makes me happy to know fellow domainers are grabbing good names. Would be happier if each of you guys makes BIG profit from some of these names.

Yeah, i will try nonetheless. None of your names today appealed to me, though. But found some names myself that I regged. Not sure if theyre that good, though.

adultorgasms.com (200 monthly searches only though)
awesomepornvideos.com (1000 monthly searches, there already exists a site called "excellentpornvideos.com" which is developed)

What do you think? Good catches?

its OK though man. We are all learning. The important thing here is you are learning. Dont get discouraged. Read this forum more and your portfolio can only improve in quality. ;)

Today's quality was't the best, I agree. But I think you still can find few names that you can either flip for a quick, small profit ($10 - $20) or submit to BrandBucket.

I don't like them, to be honest. However, I encourage you to search for your own names as this is -I believe- the best way to learn (and this is how I'm trying to learn and improve). Having said that, I'd advise you to:

1- Keep the number of domains you register during this learning period to the minimum.
2- Look for coupons and cheap registrars so you don't lose much money in case your domains turned out to be not so good.

By the way, these are things I DIDN'T do at the beginning, and I ended up losing money as a result. I'd hate to see the same happen to you.

Yeah, i am currently regging at dotster for 2$ a domain.

Well I hope I can sell these domains for a few bucks then. So I havent lost any money atleast.

Everything more than 2 bucks would already be a profit :D

You can use coupon : nvu
You will save a bit dropping the price to 1.69. Also, you can register for 2 years for that price. It gives you two years to find a buyer.

Great tips! If I may add (3) Set a budget and try to stick to it.

Great list @Finest thanks for the time and effort that you put into them!
