I put .cc in the first place and then .co and then .io

If you're talking numbers then it's probably .cc .co .io
If you're talking startups then it's probably .co .io .cc
If you're talking tech startups then it's probably .io .co .cc

Type of domain determines order in my opinion.

Also, I think .io is more expensive.

if .com wasn't in the way of .co , I'd pick .co . Otherwise it's .io , .co , .cc

I think the variation in opinions here speaks volumes.

I recently acquired friendship.cc - my only one to date. I have numerous .co domains but no .io.

I'd say .io but in a longer term. It is slowly getting more popular.

All three sounds nice with similar two letter string. I think all three gtld's success will be relative in the longer run.

is there any .cc official discussion on Namepros, I did not find, there lots of action on .cc. Why not to start it, specially from Chinese perspective

Chinese investors prefer .CC
and right now they drive the MARKET

.cc > .io > .co
in accordance with easiest to type!

plus I frequently use CTRL+Enter to complete .com so .co is awkward

The Chinese now loves Biz Info Co because governments of China are promoting global presence, and even .cn are getting less and less popular. This is the newest rule from the mandate. So, all international TLDs will perform better. Chips BIZ Chips INFO Chips CO.

I would say .io is the best

based on my recent sales and not taking into account the demands for each extension from china lately I rank it this way:

.io - because my outreach / marketing strategy targets tech startups
.co - I get good traction on .co if single word
.cc - have not invested much into this extension but did sell a few last year at the start of the Chinese boom
