Hi,

can you give any estimation of prices of LLL.info after 5 years?

So that I can make sure, I should invest in this niche or not..?

Of course, I'm talking about only premium letters...

3character.com mentions minimum wholesale price (regardless of letter combo) for LLL.info at the moment is $40.

In fact you can get LLL.infos for as low as $15 to $20 all the time in forums and ebay.

Next point is:

Don't forget that domain biz is a highly speculative business and NO ONE can predict ANYTHING.
Its like Stock Market.
It could be that there will be a totall crash in 5 years. It could be that there will be another "boom". No one knows it, not even the so called "gurus", "domainkings", etc.

Yes - LLL.info has definetly been on the decline. Your LLL.info would have been worth more 5yrs ago then it is today!

I would advise you to jump in and buy some LLL.infos if they are priced right.

As for people saying that LLL.info prices have dropped, well guess what? domain prices overall have dropped. with all these extensions and buyers, prices have had to stabilize and the days of wild, ridiculous prices are gone.

Remember that .info doesnt have a very good reputation, but the truth is that it is still a major gTLD. i say go for good lll.infos.At worst,it wont hurt much.

It's not just the LLL.info, LLL.us/.biz/.in are still worth very little for more or less random letters (not real words).
It's true, extensions can depreciate in value.

It means that if you speculated in these extensions early on (a decade ago), you haven't made a good investment.

Example: if you own an average LLL.us that is worth mid-$$ you would recoup the renewal fees if you were to sell now. But not much more.

Some domainers seem to have a fixation with the buyout thing, but it's meaningless.
Those LLL are still worth very little because there isn't enough sustained demand from end users. Buyout/no buyout, that doesn't change a thing.
I have sold LLL domains in ccTLDs with no buyout. If an end user needs a specific LLL combo then they don't care that thousands more are still available. Because these are not suitable alternatives anyway.

Also keep in mind that LL/LLL are particular types of domains that are used for corporate acronyms.
Businesses/non profit like to use .com/.net/.org and ccTLDs, but .info doesn't seem to be a popular choice for this particular purpose.

I had had some great LLL.info names in auction on Go Daddy and they could not get more than the initial bid of $10. Pronounceable, all premium letters, great acronyms and perfect for someone's initials or company names. The problem is the extension

Some got no bids and were dropped. If you really want an acronym and you can't get it in the 3 better extensions you may pay good money for a .info but that's the exception, the sales quoted here surprised me if they're all recent

Those names I mention I had placed in auctions gradually, over a one-yr period ending this spring, so it's a good indicator of how hard it is too sell them. I did get a couple of decent sales on Sedo but I netted like $100 on one and $50 on the other, both end users from China

I got rid of some .biz and .us I had too, those fare even worse, if that's possible. So much for the 5th and 6th extensions

:hehe:
