That is the saddest news I have heard in a long while.
Harkster my MATE so long.

Domaining has lost a TRUE gentleman.

God rest his soul and condolences to his family. I had not seen him for awhile but remember his contributions well especially in domain discussion 2004 to 2006.

Rest in Peace Richard.

Never meant him, but he sure sounds like a nice guy!

That's so sad .

I remember checking out a couple of his pottery sites - I was impressed with the depth of knowledge that he shared. He seemed like a really nice person.

Sorry to hear about this, I was wondering why he hadn't posted recently.

I didn't know him well but I send my condolences to the family and friends and he is in a better place now.

A class act, RIP Harkster.

Hi I was a very good friends of Richard and his wife's for many years. He asked me to keep his websites goig if I can. This was one of the last things he said to me so I am goin to try my best.

Thank you all for your thoughts, I will pass them on to his wife. He was a really incredible man. He had an amazing mind that hopefully will live on through his websites.

Having a disease myself, I think about death a lot. It's never a good thought. I don't know what I can say here except he and I joined in 2004 and on that he felt close to me. My thoughts are with his family & friends... another life removed, one taken too soon, in my view.

I'm sad to hear that news. I had talked to him a few times on the forum through the years and he was definitely a great guy and member of this community. Always enjoyed reading his posts on here. He'll definitely be missed!

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

This is a huge loss, not only to our community, but to the world in general.
Richard was a :great insightful, and helpful to all.
