Most of the big premium domain sales have no sites years later

There was a post a while back about Mike Mann's sales. One of the domains that caught my eye was one that sold for 15k. The post was from August of last year and that domain is still not resolving. Crazy if you ask me.

hmm I know Namecheap is a partner and when I search for my domains on namecheap, they are showing up at the Afternic price...no markup. I was under the impression that Afternic and Sedo just split their comission with their affiliates.

Previously, if no one bid on auction, there would be BIN prices for $12, $10 and $5. Now if no one bids on the auction, there's BIN for 50, 40, 12, 10 and 5? So they just added more days of BIN at a higher price? I have won some auctions on GoDaddy with just one bid but I usually don't bid in...

Help me, purchase by mistake on Sedo

Joking aside, If he paid by Paypal, I wonder if Paypal would/could pay Sedo and then pull from his bank account. I've gone -$500+ in my account a few times in the past. Payments were cleared and I just added money back in later or payments put me back into a positive balance.

It does suck having to take a screenshot of my namecheap page to show I own the domain name for Afternic. Or waiting for Sedo to pick up my txt record not to mention having to add that. I am thinking of making a template asking the seller to remove my new purchase from any other sales venues...

I have bid on flippa auctions with a $5k or $10k reserve with just a $100-300 bid because that's what I believed the domain was worth at most and was confident the reserve would not be met. If the seller wants to sell at what I believe is a more reasonable price, perhaps in a future relist...

I don't know about ThePontiff.Online but Pontificate.Online is available and I think a lot of us do that. I see it's available in .xyz too and I'm wondering if that's one that'd fetch a shockingly high xyz price.
