Before you transfer a domain to GoDaddy or register one, they should make you check a box stating you're aware you can't transfer the domain for 60 days. Maybe even a second box agreeing to the Universal terms of service or whatever. That would probably help so at least you know what you're...

I'm told if you change anything in the whois info, they tack on another 60 days. I would e-mail them and ask why you cannot transfer the domain.

Is GoDaddy the best place to sell domains at auctions?

I've sold a few domains on GoDaddy, eBay, Sedo and another domain forum site. Sedo has been the most profitable for me though I've only done fixed price and make offer (careful with make offer on $xx domains. I paid a $50 commission on a $75 offer once!). I've got around 100 domains on...

Paying $5 a domain name seems high if you're dealing with $xx and low $xxx domains. I'd look into getting a PO Box, that shouldn't be more than $20/year. You can get free voice mail phone numbers online.

Which site for register names is fastest?

More importantly, would you click 3 times to save $2? If so then you're being paid to click using GoDaddy or any other upselling registrar.

Why are some domain TLDs from different registrars more expensive than others?

GoDaddy's 11.99 price is a recent sale. It probably won't last. Some of these companies host sells on different extensions as loss leaders to draw you in. If you can't flip the domain in 12 months, you'll be paying a higher renewal fee. Not to mention the potential to buy higher priced...

Dynadot is one of the few places where you can do Sedo AND Afternic fast transfers. It's worth the extra for that. Also, I only renewed 36 .coms so I'm a big fat liar! :D
