The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

It looks like there were 105 LLLL.com auctions on Ename ending June 7/8, which is much more than usual for the platform. Without looking into whois history I'd guess it was probably one seller unloading a portfolio, and the higher supply might explain the lower prices. While 1 auction looks to...

debate Has the bubble burst ?

Actual ending price appears to be $3000 and the site has been updated to reflect that. It was double posted with an earlier price before the auction was extended.

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

Yeah it looks like it showed up because they listed goyz.com in the title but then in the description say its an LNLL. I've removed the auction and reported the seller to ebay. Thanks for the heads up.

The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

LLLLSales.com does not list sales where the reserve was not met, only actual reported sales. Of course we don't have time to confirm every sale goes through (for example, godaddy expired auctions are sometimes renewed by the previous owner), however we will remove any failed transactions of...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

As I've mentioned before, for several periods in the past we only recorded limited sales (i.e. Namejet auctions of quad premiums) so taking the 5th percentile of all domains would show a price of $xxx simply because we don't have record of the lower sales during that time. In the future I may...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

The charts page has been updated with better charts and now includes a Chinese Premium minimum price chart as well, which shows there's definitely been a pretty steep increase over the last few months. Ebay and Flippa sales data is now pulled in automatically as well.

The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

~1400 LLLL.com domains that were owned by Digital Intelligence Inc (Adam Dicker's company) have expired and are all ending 5/30 on Godaddy Auctions. Should be interesting to see the results, and likely some good deals to be had.

The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

Well it took me a little longer than I thought because I was pretty busy last week (and entering sales data from this thread took quite a while) but its finally finished enough to release (link in sig). For those who contribute sales data to this thread and who mentioned they would be willing...

    LLLL.net COUNTDOWN

Is this what you are looking for krx? I made a chart of all available LLLL.net showing how many have each letter in each position. Remember this is how many remain, so a lower percentage is better as it means more are taken. Letter Pos1 Pos2 Pos3 Pos4 Sum a 1.98% 1.97% 2.29% 2.49% 8.73%...

The ending prices on these 3 auctions is correct, and they all appear to have been 7 day Public Auctions (not Expired Auctions) as you mentioned. They ended with 22 bids on afnp.com and 17 on each of the others. For some reason Public Auctions seem to often close at lower prices than similar...

The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

Yes this was definitely fishy. It was a public auction with just 1 bid at near the end at $500k, and has been flagged and removed from the site. I'm working on adding a filter to flag sales well out of normal ranges for manual review before publishing. As it is now I have to catch them after the...

    discuss ShortNames (Formerly LLLLSales)

Thanks RJ! The data is updated differently depending on the type of listing as well as the marketplace (some provide real-time feeds, some are just updated daily). As of now, most fixed price and make offer listings are updated once per day. Most auctions are updated at least hourly, with those...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

Everything seems to be running fine. Sales aren't always immediately added, it can take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on the venue (this should be improved in the new version of the site I'm working on). Let me know if there's a particular sale that doesn't show up by the end of the day.

news All English Premium LLLL.net were registered today

You told people to only trust Namebio sales data because they only post transactions that were verified with proof of sale. Like LLLLSales.com, they post Godaddy auction prices the same day they close. If they have a time machine to look into the future and see that none of them will be renewed...

    Chinese LLLL.com bubble!?

Using the ratio of rarity to compare prices between different niches can be a useful metric, but it becomes less useful at very low or very high prices. One thing I never see mentioned along with the ratio is the effect of renewal fees. If a hypothetical LLL is worth $260, it might seem that a...
