    Chinese LLLL.com bubble!?

Yeah Flippa allows auction listings or classified listings, which are free and allow buyers to contact you with private offers. I'm guessing there are some buyers that send out bulk low ball offers hoping someone will sell. I think there is a member on Namepros who has gotten a couple below...

    Chinese LLLL.com bubble!?

They all ended today, spaced about 2 mins apart. We add the sales with the date the auction finished, usually within a couple hours of the end time. According to this post (https://www.namepros.com/threads/huge-chinese-premium-llll-com-auction-118-domains-qccq-com-and-more.885042/) it seems...

    information Premium LLLL.net countdown 2015

Current .net wholesale pricing at Verisign is $6.79 (and will jump to $7.46 on Feb 1, 2016) plus the ICANN fee of $0.18. Add to this ~3% for credit card fees if the registrar accepts that form of payment. Registrars will often sell new registrations or transfers at a loss, in order to hopefully...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

The sales you are referring to are being reported by Flippa as "Domain Classified Listings" which is where sellers can list domains free and accept/reject offers made, so it seems correct it is likely uninformed sellers letting domains go for less than they might get in an auction. If we are...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

I've actually been thinking about this lately, and I agree it should probably be changed. When the site first launched, it mostly tracked expired domain auctions from Snapnames, Namejet, and Godaddy. The two former of which included a year's renewal with the winning bid, while Godaddy charged...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

I've automated posting sales data from Namejet, Snapnames, Godaddy, and just added DropCatch. Soon I'll add Flippa. The only sales that I can't really automate that need to be manually submitted are forum auctions. Yes the charts section is something I've been meaning to update. Should be able...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

It's been awhile since I've made an update on LLLLSales.com. The site had been lacking in new sales posted. I recently redid a lot of the backend, and the site now pulls in sales data from Godaddy, Sedo, Namejet, and Snapnames on a daily basis. Since it was implemented earlier this month...

    LLLL.net COUNTDOWN

Here is some data taken from all LLLL.net that have been taken so far, showing the percentage that each letter appears in each position of the domain. It's interesting to see what letters are more popular or less popular at certain positions. Hopefully this can help some people in determining...

LLLLL.com (5 Letter) Sales and discussion thread

Nope its not, it is a fairly nice VCVCV though. I like them when all 3 vowels are the same. There are actually ~11K palindromes left out of 17576 combinations (about 60%), although most of them are not at all pronounceable. Really only VCVCV and CVCVC palindromes tend to be pronounceable.

There are still a ton with U and Y but only about 10 (at the top of the list) with premium vowels. A little over 4k total.

    discuss ShortNames (Formerly LLLLSales)

They are simply grouped by the type of filter and are in no particular order. My guess would be repeating tend to have higher values, but I have not personally done any analysis on the sales data based on tags for numerics. The reason we use the OR operator for the Other Tags filter is because...

LLLL .com - Big sales report

As you can see it was a private sale (end-user, retail pricing) and not a public auction (domainer, wholesale pricing). These type of sales tend to be all over the place depending on the seller and buyer, so while it's exciting to see large end-user sales, outliers like this don't directly...

The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

I too bought several hundred LLLL.coms from @-REECE- back in 2008 while building my portfolio. Haven't heard from him in years though. Hopefully he held on to some of his names.

    discuss ShortNames (Formerly LLLLSales)

Recently Uniregistry released sales data for ~5700 domains that sold through their platform from Feb 2015 to June 2016. The data is interesting because it is mostly end-user sales at higher prices. I've imported all the short domain sales into ShortNames, and here is the breakdown of sales by...
