    discuss ShortNames (Formerly LLLLSales)

ShortNames has been under development for nearly 8 months so it's nice to have it finally go live! It was a little difficult (for nostalgic reasons) to flip the switch and redirect LLLLSales.com after running it for 7+ years, but the new system is a huge improvement, and I have many more...

    Some 5L.com statistics

Some (5L) LLLLL.com statistics Here are some stats on 5L.com domains that I have compiled. I have seen a lot of people throwing different numbers around about what is left and how fast they are going so I figured this would add a little transparency and clear some things up for those who...

The LLLL.com sales and discussion thread

Here's a bit of insight on the history of LLLL.coms since the buyout The LLLL.com buyout happened on November 2, 2007 (NamePros countdown thread). After that, prices on the aftermarket rose quickly and hit a peak in Feb 2008 when the minimum price got to ~$50 for any LLLL.com. By mid 2008...

.com So how does a 4L.com sale at $100 on Flippa make you feel today?

As mentioned above, a classified listing means this sale was a private offer that a seller accepted at that price. The new version of LLLLSales.com, which I've been working on for a couple months now (and should launch within a couple weeks) will specify whether sales were public auction or...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

As many of you who follow the LLLL.com market probably know, the previous resource for LLLL sales data hasn't been updated in months. In an effort to provide a useful resource to those interested in LLLL.com sales data, I have created a website called LLLLSales.com, at the request of many of...

Bidding on your own names at NameJet...?

I can confirm this account is not related to any of the other accounts mentioned in this thread or any shill bidding. Regarding the $200 bids some people have mentioned, as an investor myself, lately I have been bidding this amount on all western premium LLLL.com auctions, from any seller. This...

    discuss ShortNames (Formerly LLLLSales)

I pushed a couple new updates today: 1) It's now possible to search on many different extensions separately (including .cc, @domainerfella) instead of just the main few. For now I took the most popular ~30 based on quantity of sales in our database, and the rest are still grouped in Other. 2)...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

Thanks for the suggestion. Double Letter is now an option found right under Double Repeat. Also, in response to the previous posts about tracking LLLL.net sales, I'm not ignoring you guys. I've actually recently started working on something new that I hope to be able to reveal more about soon.

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

I've updated the site to pull Godaddy sales data again after they made a change to their system months ago, and will hopefully be adding Flippa and possibly Dropcatch soon. I've also added an option to filter sales (and current auctions) by Chinese Premium (no aeiouv) since many people seem to...

Bidding on your own names at NameJet...?

In following the NameJet auctions this week, I noticed that the overall volume of auctions with bids is down around half from what it was last week. Digging into it a little, I noticed that all 5 featured auction pages that @Michael found which appeared to be Oliver's (quoted below) no longer...

    Chinese LLLL.com bubble!?

These all seem to have been privates sales (offer/counter-offer) at Sedo. We track Sedo's public auctions and report those sales as soon as they finish. For private sales, Sedo occasionally releases lists of recent sales after the fact. The sales mentioned above took place between 9/21-10/2, and...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

You bring up a good point. I've changed it to 7 days worth of sales (that's what I had originally planned but for some reason set it to 14), so it should now show a better idea of "current" prices. Expect a pretty big jump when the chart updates with a new data point tonight. ;)

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

Several new updates to the site to report today: 1) Now that Pheenix runs public auctions we will be monitoring those sales prices and adding them to the database going forward. 2) I've update the search filters so you can now search by price range, date range, and last X days of sales. 3)...

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

LLLLSales.com just passed a major milestone by reporting it's 100,000th sale of a LLLL.com! Thanks to all those who have helped contribute sales data over the years, and to those who continue to find the site to be a useful resource.

LLLLSales.com - Feedback, Bugs, Suggestions, etc

The site now automatically pulls in 4.cn and Sedo auction results, and BuyDomains reported sales, in addition to all the marketplaces (Goddady, Flippa, Ebay, Namejet, Dropcatch) we already report sales from.
