DaaZ.com is a premium domain names marketplace owned by DaaZ Limited, London (UK).

Key vision of DaaZ.com is helping buyers and sellers to transact with each other in a trusted way.

DaaZ.com key focus is end user focused sales and we have been operational since August 2019 and we have made a quite good progress and supported few thousands buyers buying domains via DaaZ and also having around 800+ sellers offering their inventory for sale. We have registered buyer base of 4000+ buyers.

It may not be lot in terms of numbers, we are the youngest marketplace (without any registrar presence). We have made a good reputation and able to build the traction.

How we are different ?

We may not be too different at moment, we are sharing what we believe is our core offerings:

• We have developed a platform which is having a very good buyers interface, specially helping wholesale or repeated buyers securing domain names.
• We allow the listings for free, it's open for all sellers (aka domainers) and support 1400+ domain extensions
• Sellers can run any time auctions. This feature help for regular cash-flow needed by the sellers. (Disclaimer: At present very few end users participate into these auctions, mostly domainers / resellers winning the names )
• Lowest Success Fee: Our success fee is 8% (with chargeback protection included) is the lowest in the industry offered by any domain name marketplace.
• We pay to the sellers via PayPal / Wire transfers. No PayPal withdrawal or pay-out fees, all fees covered by DaaZ with in 8% success fee (In short, no indirect fees)
• We offer live chat support round the clock (Although we are not officially 24/7, we are offering near 24/7 support). We look after our buyers and sellers with great attention.
• We love automation of the processes; however we do believe the human interaction with the buyers makes a lot of difference. So, we automated what we believe is required to automate and we kept those human interactions with the buyers or sellers where we believe is required to be in place

We are open to listening to our buyers and sellers and improve the platform every month. We are making two improvement releases a month to fix the product related issues and also bringing new features.

We believe our customers are our gods and we help them in all possible means we can. What we believe we need to improve ?

We believe a platform will be never perfect and has to continue to listen to our customers and deliver a platform of their choice. So, we have a clear outlined process to receive the feedback and handle the product improvements effectively

• We are relatively a young platform, so we have a lot of room to improve on number of features and catch-up, we are addressing the backlog with a lot of passion
• We are aware that we need to bring the installment plan, rent to own features, also a powerful API to help the bulk sellers. We have clearly these features in our product road-map for 2021.
• We have a lot more innovative ideas not attempted by any other marketplace, we are focusing to address the industry standard offerings first before moving on delivering these innovative ideas to help the domain investors / sellers
• We also record every suggestion given by our buyers and sellers, we analyse the feedback, and all the appropriate feedback is getting added to backlog
• Our road-map is ready for next 5 years and we will do everything possible to help to improve the standards of domain name marketplace

For your auctions, are buyers that win required to pay the domain annual renewal fee as well before checkout? It seems commonplace on other auction sites, even if the domain isn't close to expiration.

No. We expect the domain names in auction to be at least 1 month before expiry date. If any seller auction domains which are less than 1 month away from expiry time, we will ask the sellers to renew the domain name before handover to us . (or) We will renew and deduct from the PayOut.

Also, it is curious that you state the highest bidder can still negotiate with the seller, even if they didn't meet the reserve bid while the auction was going on. Isn't that counterproductive to the auction effectiveness? After all, why bother bidding the reserve as a minimum, if you might get a chance to get an even lower price than that afterwards?

In our opinion, Its not counter productive - if the name is good and the price is right, auctions will have competition from bidders.

Also think the other way around, Just per example a seller kept 5000 USD as reserve price for the domain name. Bidder believes he or she can afford to pay only up to 4000 USD and placed the best bid of 4000 USD.

No one else has bid beyond 4000 USD for what soever reasons. Auction has ended with the best bid as 4000 USD for that domain name.

Seller has an opportunity to accept that 4000 USD final bid or reject that offer, end of the day the asset is owned by the seller. Seller is the right one to decide if he or she is ok to sell for 4000 USD or not in this example.

Most important point - bidders also know even if the reserve price is not met - the best bid will be presented for the seller's review and acceptance.
Benefits: No fake bidding , better conversion rate for the seller , motivation for a genuine bidder not to disappoint seeing the reserve or buy now prices.

I agree with @MasterOfMyDomain above re: 123 statements. If we are unable to edit those for our own purposes, I suggest they be eliminated. If they are/become editable, it would make Daaz one of my top choices.

You can edit that. its just a description of the domain name. If the description is not added, thats the default description. You can write your own description.

Edit the domain name description and save it.

If you want to do that for1000's of names. You can do that via Bulk Edit tools like Excel editor or APIs.

We are showing the below default description on landers for the last 3+ years, we thought better to write shorter sentences "

We will certainly consider feedback and will improve in next version. We are releasing two more themes in February.

Similar landing pages are used across Industries , not only domain names but other industries like hosting providers offering default website themes. Few domain sellers requested us to come with a design like this one, based on the user feedback we have released this theme.

Its one of the themes , certainly we will focus on giving variety of options for the domain investors to choose what is the right theme for their domain asset.

Domain sellers can edit those sentences 1 , 2 and 3 - Its just a default description.

Perhaps others feel differently, but a more specific reserve price citation might be helpful up front.

Unfortunately that domain already exists in other sellers portfolio. We have resolved this now, its added to your portfolio. We are investigating further on this matter, how we can prevent this happening. We will do everything possible to make DaaZ a best place for genuine listings.

Thank you for the very prompt response to delisting the other seller's domain. It's frustrating to learn that someone else is posing as an actual domain owner. Your prompt customer service response, correcting this within a day, is reassuring.

As for the marketplace question, I was referring to a marketplace page that can be set up by the seller. In other words, is this like Dan, where you have a page where you can have all your domains listed? NameSilo I believe offers something similar to that as well?

You can setup your own "domainstore".

In profile settings --> You have an option to pick up your store name ( in other words your brand name ).

This video also gives a bit of walk through of that feature..

Not at moment. Certainly we can improve this to support that requirement.

This will help to achieve faster and smoother experience to both the buyer & seller.

And, since your company doesn't actually do escrow, a registrar such a Dynadot would be in an excellent position to make certain that the buyer and seller actually have a smooth, secure transaction.

Simple question: what additional fees will be involved? And is the registrar requiring that the potential buyer pay for the renewal fee at the same time, even if the domain is not near expiration?

Finally, could you especially do this quickly with Namecheap? Since their "Spaceship" launch does not appear to be happening any time soon, having a lander solution like yours might be very helpful--- immediately! I've tried using their marketplace this past month, using "pseudo-landers." Having your landers instead would likely be a great improvement.

Just to be clear, the above change is all about improving the efficiency of the DaaZ platform and also make the domain transfers completed quickly.

Instead of a transfer agent manually involve to complete the transactions , Bot will handle the transaction. This will help to reduce the delays and also help buyers and sellers getting immediate response times.

We are looking forward to improve this tech further and support as many registrars as possible by end of this year. All this new tech we are implementing is part of the standard service we are offering, no additional fees to the sellers.
