Alex.ca
Alex is a relatively popular name, what would such 4L domain run for on country TLD?

Apparently, it is an existing business. I doubt they'd consider selling it unless you can sign and empty check covering all their rebranding costs and few years of their cash flow from running the auto business to make it worthwhile.

Aside from it being used today, its awesome. Could easily see an Alex from California buying it (entrepreneur, business related, other), if it happened to be available

As @Recons.Com mentioned, highly doubt they'd sell...bit pointless. IMO

I don't think Californians can buy .CA domain, unless they are Candian citizens. To register a . CA domain name you need to be a Canadian Citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or an organisation in Canada such as a corporation.

@scotch, so you're saying Canadians cannot use Alex.ca as a brand name just because it's a great name across the globe?

If you hold Canadian citizenship/pr/corporation and are a resident of California then you can, from what I know.
