It appears the domain industry has been starting to take notice of the .us namespace over the past year, read DnJournal.com .us growth and Namepros with even greater expectations for the year to come.

So I thought it would be a good idea to ask everyone to show us your .us domain names. You can post your favorites or your entire portfolio.

Interesting story.

This is clearly a massive outlier involving a set of circumstances that can’t really be replicated.

I have sold more .US than almost anyone over the years.

I don't really see this as a "know your worth" situation.

This is like winning the lottery. In fact, it was like winning the lottery far before the final price.

Still, congrats to the seller. It worked out.

It is hard to take much meaning from a massive outlier like this IMO.

Brad
You sold than almost anyone to end buyers 100% but as amount of .us but resale price i am better than you 🤗
I have my word regards of .US
"Brad is the KiNG of .US but me i am the Prince of .US" 🤗 ..with ♥️

P.S. Around/aprox or even over 2500

No. Wild West Domains reseller sites have the $15.99 .us domain registration cost. Some have $14.99 or whatever they want to charge.

Just do an Internet search for $16 .us domain registration to see such sites.

What’s the domain?

Can't say for sure but it seems FTX .us

As global supply chain has failed to delivered specially during this covid crisis, countries are focusing more on their local companies. Also Google algorithms support local ccTLD therefore may be we need to wait bit more but I assume that .US domain extension has bright future.

I think outsiders (non US residents) are not allowed to invest in .US extension?

Anyway, my best wishes to all existing .US investors.

All the Best.

Disclaimer: It's only my opinion if you are new & aspiring .US domain investor please do good research before investing.

.us can be register by anyone no restriction/s long as you demonstrate you have a connection with a person ( USA citizen ) or organisation from USA & only in case receive a Nexus complain & can be easy fixed with a simple bill of sale of a .us domain

FTX .us i think is one of sponsor on F1 Mercedes Benz team

Not sure if is FTX ...i remember that i check the name 1 month ago when i see the logo on Hamilton car 😉 & was owned already by FTX .com but maybe i am wrong

First time I see such thing on expiry date.
Going through WHOIS on some .us domains I came across a domain that expires in 2101 year, how is this possible?
However below it say .us reserved account.

Cloud, Tech, Pitch, and many others...tens of thousands range.

Though I sell many more in a $2K - $5K range.

Because reserved names dont have a limit time - from 'settings' they can do what ever they want
Why not show the name? After all can't be register
It is a political domain? 😉😁😉
Nehhh..i think is washingtondc 🤗 political after all 😉

There should be a way to check the daily updates on Whois. It’s beyond me but maybe some of you tech heads know!

Possible to be GOP .us ( not sure if is this domain )
Is in Afternic escrow since 3-4 days
That would be a perfect fit for this extension.

I believe that patriotic websites like for Army , Navy, and Air Force and all the Governmental departments should switch to .US if they haven't done so already.

Also a .US domain should be given to every person in the United States to be used as their ID across all Governmental uses like for drivers license or Social Security.

(that would increase .US registration by 330 million overnight and makes it the biggest extension in the World. :) )

IMO

It’s not gop because Whois hasn’t updated recently.

is this .US thing still exists? i thought it would be deleted by now.Who is using .US when there are so many alternatives.
.US is a kind of scam still running by registry.
I'm very surprised that you would say this. I believe a .us domain just sold for over 400k. There have been many sales of .us. Plenty of possibility for .us.

If they haven't disclosed the name already maybe it's best to respect their privacy and wait for them to go public when their website is ready.

IMO

Sure but that has nothing to do with what we’re talking about. It’s not gop.

I saw someone speculate the name is "Kucoin". All the dates line up with the Twitter post.

Updated Date: 2021-10-02T17:22:33Z

If that is really the case, the sale is not repeatable and really based more on a famous brand than any generic value.

This is kind of like a situation where a good outcome might not have been achieved by good decisions, but instead a fluke set of circumstances.

This is the classic situation where questionable decisions can still lead to a great outcome. It still doesn’t mean those decisions were great as they are not repeatable and would fail 99.999% of the time. In this situation it worked.

Congrats to the seller, but I don't really take much from outlier sales like this. I am more interested in sales that are more predictable and repeatable.

If that’s the case, it shows that they felt .us was a must have. They already own kucoin.com and I’ve been a customer long before most knew of crypto.
