In February WeSoldUsedCars.com sold for $10,000, and earlier this month PharmacistOnDemand.com sold for $10,000. At first you might think.....WTF! However, unlike brand names like Google, Amazon and Yahoo that say absolutely NOTHING, the two names I just referred to actually say SOMETHING(y)

Have you registered any 3 or 4+ word domains this year that may have the sort of value that "We Sell Used Cars" or "Pharmacist On Demand" have? If you do, share them here and why you think they're valuable.

WeFuelChange.com is a domain I recently registered that has more potential than any two word or brand names I've originated/created. Lets see some of your creations:xf.smile:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Yes, I prefer such names as well up to 4L. However, such long phrases like CarsForSale.com are also massively searched by English speakers for example " Cars for Sale" is searched 2,240,000/month on google so they have very high commercial potential.
Where do you find that out?

Are you sure that the European Tourism Department won’t sue you? Sometimes I read some things on here that make me feel worried about even buying a thing. I have charging global. Com and a few others. I was thinking, along with other ideas, that with electric cars slowly being everywhere that people will be needing to get a charge on the side of the road etc. Does this open me up for exposure of getting sued by battery makers and electric car, golf cart etc dealers?
No I'm not sure the European Tourism Department won't sue me.....now ask me if I care? I wouldn't leave the house if I were afraid someone would sue me. Paranoia will kill you if you aren't careful:xf.wink:

Seriously, i'd luv all the attention it would bring my way. You may not understand what I'm saying, but I'm serious:xf.smile:

I totally understand. I don’t want attention per se but it can be better for sales that no attention.

I get what your saying completely and I think it would be ridiculous if they did sue you. I kind of feel I have similar situations possibly but some more blatant possibly I got just for fun. At the end of the day I still wonder how the heck some smart companies can sell things that could be so vulnerable for someone that doesn’t know much less a somewhat grey area of the law.

I was just trying to figure out how other people see some things. In my opinion if you sell it or develop it then it would do nothing but help the “department” if it’s so named that and they should pay you or at least put a plug in with all the tourism industry to put an ad on the site etc.

Thank you brother. Your words have inspired me to outbound to smart car dealers. Thanks. :)
The only Smart Car TM i find when i access USPTO for "Smart Car" says this;

Word Mark SMARTCAR
Goods and Services
IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Mobile applications for booking taxis. FIRST USE: 19940801. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 19940801

This isn't to say it's not TM'd for use somewhere else, but if you're concerned you may want to do a little more research.

I don’t mean to be argumentative sounding. I just don’t see a line where it stops and unfair competitive advantage isn’t owned by someone on some names that are generic in my opinion (so far). If one had the domain “toilet paper” does that mean they could prob not sell it and possibly get sued for trying to sell to charmin or quilted northern?
No because toilet paper is a generic item that's made and sold by a number of companies. If you owned CharminToiletPaper and tried to sell it, that would be an issue.

They are likely trademarked under "Smart" for manufacturing and sales of cars.

Yes sir. I understand. I’m a little frustrated. That was a bad example. I appreciate your time I guess it’s frustrating at times. I don’t know any details but I have had DisneyVideoGames for a while. I never really thought it seemed right but I got it for fun and self study. Then a few months after that purchase (it could have been a year or more I really haven’t looked back) I noticed on namebio that Disneylands.com sold for a pretty decent amount! That kind of baffled me

Surprisingly they're not, however SmartCare® shows dozens of "live" trademarks. I'm sure if you asked a dozen lawyers you'd get a dozen different answers. That's why I always revert to "common sense" to settle disputes like this out of court:xf.wink:

Mostly very good domains biggie....you've been around this game since 2003 so i guess you've learned a lot. Were these all handregs? Starting with first on your list....that's too good a domain not to try and sell it to key mortgage lenders of which there are a few hundred of them. Or maybe even smaller lenders IF it can attract new business.

Advertising;

Looking to own a home? Just go to HOMELOANAPPLICATION.COM and maybe we can help(y)

Need insurance for your Motorcycle? Just got to MOTORCYCLECOVERAGE.COM and maybe we can help(y)

Question? Have you done any out bound marketing of your domains?

Hi

some were hand reg, some from backorder
and no outspamming

imo...
You mean that you wouldn't consider telling mortgage companies who are in the business to lend money how they can make more money? And that's spamming:xf.rolleyes:

Hi

i'd rather get an offer that will make me want to sell it
then the buyer do whatever they want.

if you know a buyer who has an offer, then charge them a fee... and contact me.

imo....

I use the Keywords Everywhere chrome tool. It's a paid tool that gets up to date search volume metrics directly from Google.

SmartCarNewYork.com
Very good GEO domains, but need to get them exposure to Smart Car dealers in NY and Houston. Good Luck!
… or think about smart USA Distributor LLC track record at National Arbitration Forum:

Claim Number: FA0908001280139
smart USA Distributor LLC v. JDS Real Estate Inc.
Complainant informs that it is the exclusive distributor in the United States and a licensee of Daimler AG by a Distributorship Agreement dated October 31, 2006 between Daimler AG (formerly smart gmbh) and smart USA. Complainant states that the trademark “smart” has been used continuously in the U.S.A. at least as early as 1999 and worldwide since as early as 1996. Complainant alleges that the smart Marks have become well-known and famous in the United States as a result of the extensive media coverage and use of the smart Marks.

Having established all three elements required under the ICANN Policy, the Panel concludes that relief shall be GRANTED.

I haven't gone searching for the TM... it's a popular word, so I assume it could take a while. This is on their site, though:

Trademarks
Unless otherwise stipulated, all brand names featured on the webpages are legally protected trademarks belonging to the Daimler Group. This applies in particular to the model names and all corporate logos and emblems.

I am confused now. Whether there will be any TradeMark issue or not. Can you please share your personal thoughts on this?

Every domain name carries IP infringement risk. Before assessing that risk, I ask myself, how much do I like this name? The more I like it, the more risk I tolerate.

smartcarhouston dot com
smartcarnewyork dot com

I don’t like these names. The tld (com) is fine. The sld (smartcarhouston, smartcarnewyork) is the problem. Too long, not enough gravity. Delete a word (smarthouston, carhouston, smartnewyork, carnewyork), I’ll still pass. Add any word (newcarhouston, freecarnewyork, etc), no thanks. Will there be any trademark issue with your names? I don’t know but I don’t like the risk reward odds.

Full disclosure: I’m just a kook on a message board. Investing involves risk. The surest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket. Good luck!

If you're not afraid of the risk than WeSellSmartCars.com is available, and if that carries too much risk, how about WeSellFastCars.com that's also available. I like WeSellFastCars.com enuf that it's on my list to buy along with FastCarGuy.com

Why might I want to own "We Sell Fast Cars" and "Fast Car Guy"? Maybe because WeSellUsedCars.com sold at SEDO for $10,000 back in February, and most guys (and a few girls) i know prefer fast cars over used cars:xf.wink:

Speaking of fast cars....has anyone seen the 2020 Corvette?
