I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Over the last few days, I have noticed some really long awful .ca domains being used in T.V. ads. I think I saw one today it was between 4-5 words, I'm going to start writing some down, keep a bit of a list going for laughs.

hey,i regd a 19L.ca today. i thought it was decent.:xf.grin:

Well, I know you said "just for fun", but, that sounds like a lot of cooks in the kitchen... And would the $12K go to buy the chosen domain from its owner? So that would be more like "submit your 3 best domains that you're willing to sell for $12K". And then do you raise more money to develop?

It is just for fun. Feel free to make suggestions or change the concept entirely.

How about everybody gives me $12K and I set up a Youtube channel on how I spend it.

Does anyone know how to add DNS records at dot-ca-registry.ca?

It's pretty freaking archaic UI and I don't see any options at all, and it's pretty well a required feature. If DNS is not available, that's the last time I use this service, as then you can't list them for sale.

I would inquire there first, but they get pretty surly when you ask questions.

Shoot, on that note, how do you assign Nameservers and change other settings.

And the mass exodus of junk LLLs has begun!

This week it's the Q's (36 total) and next week looks like the U, X, and Z's are starting to flow in, with around 25 already on the TBR in only a day.

This might get ugly.

There are still 0 LLLs available for handreg, so someone out there will probably buy them all.

And just an FYI that going forward, the TBR Weekly Picks are looking like they may be taking an extended break. I just don't have the time on Monday and Tuesday nights to do this anymore, and while a subscription list would be more manageable, I don't want to start charging people during a pandemic.

Hey...at trial 40 bucks for 6 months I think you said I don’t have a problem with that.

Hey...at trial 40 bucks for 6 months I think you said I don’t have a problem with that.

I don't, I just don't feel comfortable asking for $$$ during a pandemic.

It's weird, as I could do a paid email list easier than a free DR article with links, the latter of which I don't have time for, hence the "rock and a hard place" analogy.

Preferred place to place a TBR order? I'm 50/50 as to whether or not the name I have my eye on will get ordered by someone else, I'm guessing not, but if I'm going to put the time into developing it it's worth paying a little extra to increase my odds.

I checked out some of the TBR placed recommended on cira's list but some of them look like they're from 1997, just want to make sure I'm going with a good option here.

Is $50ish pretty standard price?

Thanks!

Sibername is a good TBR provider, and with their $20 min (down from $35) makes them pretty attractive and on par with Namespro.

This are the two that I use because I have seen bad reviews from other places

Side note... anyone else not getting notifications about posts in this thread? I was just browsing this morning and I missed like a week's worth of posts

Does anyone know the proper format of a TXT string at Sibername? Ive tried a few different variations, but Sedo keeps rejecting my Sibername domains

I don't have this problem with names at Namespro or GoDaddy
