Sad to see another member go that has been here a long time. This has been happening entirely too often lately, I look for someone and they are gone. True that they leave voluntarily but its still a shame.I don’t think we should be losing people over avatars.

I just noticed this response to the OP by Mod Team Bravo.

If you really think losing a highly valuable member over some avatar nonsense is best for the future, you are sadly mistaken.

This is beyond sad!!! Losing a member that contributed 7000+ posts that were great enough to earn 2x of likes over an utter nonsense is not just sad, it is pathetic.

And even now that the mod team (or a single person acting as a team, as I am sure all professional networks ask their moderators do, right?) read through all the feedback, they still think that not issuing infraction and just going ahead and messing with someone's profile against their wish is not a big deal. While, for me it shows that Elad was not only a very valuable contributor, but a man of principles that sees in actions like this a precursor of something much worse.

To play devils advocate, we don’t work for you, you work for us. Without us there isn’t a forum and NP goes away.

As to the avatar... it was probably the best and most recognizable on the site. Huge mistake to remove it and in the process lose a valuable member.

There has been a huge upswing in the mods throwing around power. Personally I feel that this sort of approach will bite you in the ass.

It seems the mod team is saying it is not about majority. Anything that hurts the feelings of anyone on anything will be a reason for action, even if mod himself (themselves) disagrees (disagree). See in this threads where he (they) declares (declare) that the avatar was not bad, just there was a complaint ant that is what it takes.

And, 3 out of 200+ pros speaking against Riz, who clearly is a PRO, regardless of anyone else's opinion, was enough to take away his badge. And thinking? Well it took 2 to vouch for him, so 3 surely should be enough to remove the badge... Bulletproof logic...
