Technically, this is my first(completed) sale on SH as I received only 1 installment of previous sale and then the sale was cancelled and domain was returned to me.

Domain Name: Trade/icon/com

Sale Price: 1999$

Venue : SquadHelp

Hold time : 11 Months

List Price: 2599$

There was some confusion between SH and me regarding negotiation. But after listening to my point, SH gave me 1500$ as sale proceeds, although SH commission was 32.5%.

Congratulations on your sale.

What was the confusion if you don't mind to share.

Even their standard 25% commission is a rip-off,
didn't know they had a super rip-off commission tier (32.5%) as well.
Adding 30% income tax to your cut leaves you barely with 50%.
Charging more than 10-15% commission should be made illegal.

Well, not so much illegal as socially ostracized. :xf.rolleyes:

Each time I see your sales reports I keep asking myself how come.

Well Just now I have come to the conclusion that something is fishy and I choose not to believe these sales.

To me it looks more an advert for .xyz and this is the registry sponsoring this.

Tell me how much you got paid for this adverts?

If this what it is ,just know that is not working on some of us, I have not reg a single .xyz even after this advert...but maybe you are derailing some newbies into doing so...I just hope my guess is wrong but if am right desist from derailing newbies.

If you're new to domain as a newbie, a little advice for you " stick to .com" not just regging any .com visit DNacademy and learn what works with .com

I myself am still learning the curve but I have been around for quite some time for someone to deceive me into regging .xyz

@DNGear is a respected member of this community,

has many positive trade reviews, is well liked

and has never been known to cause trouble here, as far as I can remember.

I doubt the sales reported are fake.

@DNGear reports here, like many others do to help the community.

Please keep your accusations to yourself unless you have real proof.

Not all sales are reported on Namebio or elsewhere.

You cannot judge the sales of any extension based only on

publicly reported sales.

DN Gear I'm really sorry for the comment

I did that out of fustration on my part

After you said you didn't pay registry fee and all was bought at standard price which I guess is 0.99$, I decided to give it a try with different single english names and all was showing registry premuim. Aside from this i spent time imaging how you achieve this, because most times I check the names you report and I don't see any lander or website, that made me question why an end-user will pay such huge amount without putting it into use.

Please do accept my apologies, it won't happen again.

Thanks for the message.

I dont really have a reason to bluff with fake sales.

All i can say is there is some value to good keywords in .xyz. Please hold on to them.

Put a bin and list it in marketplaces. Just wait for it.

I have been doing this since 4 years. its not a 1 day game.

Thanks for sharing. I was wondering, is it just me or for everyone else none of these sold names resolve except quotations and even that takes you to Dan deleted listing. I understand that some buyers do it, but from my experience it is normally maybe 50/50, not 0 out of 100.

I guess only one buyer bought all of these. I dont know what the buyer would do all these names. May be we should wait for some time to get something to resolve.

Its only about those 9 names.

Some previous sales were started resolving.

ah ok I see. I wasn't just refering to which resolve or not. that's not always guarantee of same buyer or not... i just pointed out it would be an interesting piece of info to know if many of our sales, for any extension or niche, go to a same buyer. so thanks for clarifying :)

I didn’t want to question any sales here, as this is not a proper thread. But when such “out of charts” sales are reported, I take it with a grain of salt. I mean, congrats to @DNGear if he sells this (unpopular?) extension in bulk for 2-4K apiece during such a short period, but without proper proof of sale one can never be sure it’s in fact happened.

in my view it is a combination of quantity and quality and holding for longer time and long enough.... setting bin prices.. in correct range... posting on proper marketplaces and network partners etc.. that's my view... xyz remain very hard sales for most domainers... including me, though I have all at makeoffer... i guess the proof they are hard sales is that almost no one posts xyz sales here...

but i believe this is not proof that if enough names are held for long enough, you will not find some buyers eventually... especially if some or many would be repeat buyers.

I have names I sold years ago that the buyer never updated dns one guy has my registration info, asked him to update a few times, never got back to me.

I do too. That is why I wrote 50/50. But the seller explained that it is the same buyer. Then it is quite probable.
