im not making critique of his investmnet or yours.. cause I know you own this stuff too... however, I think we all mostly agree and it was said several times on VR thread... maybe even by you? I Can't remember... that virtual+keyword great as it is... is stil the old school version of all things virtual/cyber/online... whereas the very specific new tech of virtual reality... welll.. by not my doing or yours... has been generally accepted to be VR+keyword (or reverse).. or in some rarer cases virtualreality+kw......... we don't make trends... or rules of domain naming.. they just happen through what most people accept.. or how most companies in a niche chose to nme things etc.. u know the drill...

remeber all those times on VR thread when people were posting namebio virutal+kw sales.. and others gave crap to them saying... oh thats not even VR names blabla

he has great names.. as was yoru virtual+kw acquisition... but anyone who wants to specifically talk about virtualreality.. or like in his case, complain about no offers on virtual+kw names and using virtualreality in same tweet... should be investing in VRdoctor and VRteacher... then u can at least complain accurately and with some logic and sense about virtualreality...

i bet during the timeframe he mentioned for his names... since 2011... actual owners of things like vrdoctor or vrteacher have received a nice bunch of offers... maybe even private sale etc..

i don't care either way... i make my own decision about investment based on my own reserch... and my own sales... but for gods sake at least try to make yerself look like you know what your talking about and do not comaplain about virtualreality cause you get no offers on virtual+kw names.

i mean come on... whats next for the king... complaining about VR Cause he get no offers on cyberdoctor? I mean come on.

Thanks for the detailed response 👍

I believe virtual in some cases can talk on both VR or for these days remote/from far etc but not as decisive as having the VR which is strictly that.

About his offers, not relevant to VR or Virtual imo but to his webpage.

It makes all the spams and lowballs go away lol

I don't have a lot of virtual names, only 2.
More VR and VirtualReality

true... well i just mentioned you and your investment cause I know you recently talked about virutal, hotels was it? i think so.

so yeah.. either way... the king is old guy.. he doesn't know everything.. still great domainer :) we just can't expect he knows everything about everything. nobody does. ;)

imo any new startup VR Company is going to hve VRdoctor and not virutaldoctor as their first choice. im not even sure if they'd not prefer virtualrealitydoctor over virtualdoctor... but thats questionable... hey my highest ever domain sale to date was on virtual, reality, stocks, com so I cannot not like this combo hahah... its a joke.. but there are bunches of virtualreality+kw domains developed. and there is no doubt they are about VR... whereas virtual+kw.. well.. you can find tons of those developed into things that have NOTHING to do with VR :)

cheers

He's not giving a opinion on it...
He is creating a opinion on it.
My bet is he is buying right now. Looking for deals.

edit:
All that from a guy who bought smartglasses.com rock bottom from the same.
Now ask him how much he wants for it.
Apparently, he finds himself short in the nich.
Those 2 are fair names but I have quite a few better than that ! (and I'm not selling right now)

My point was he is creating a opinion, not giving one.
If those are his best names, no wonder nobody is racing to buy.
It's a syc play. He is buying. The signs are all there, the time is right for him to play on those of you that have decent names and have held them while it hurts to do so.
Most will sell out for fair amounts, but not potential.
The best names (biggest pricing) will not happen until this is obviously well underway for a few years and consumer saturation of product is 30-40%.
The proper time to buy is when everyone is selling and the buying/need is about to start.
Some of you who have the 'hand reg only' mentality need to re-think the wider game in 'others' plans.
But, I will be curious what names he does acquire.

edit:
Think of it this way...
If you could buy oil right now and store it away, knowing that sometime the price and demand was about to go up,
wouldn't the best time to do that is when it is over plentiful and little demand.
same same.
He or anyone else has the summer to pick-up those bargains while most are hurting.
While that is a tough statement to pinpoint with everything that is going on, it at least looks accurate to me at this time.

I was never that big on 'VIRTUAL' because it had been a 'thing' before vr took it's place but...
I did pick-up a few drops over the years.
VirtualQuarterback, Virtualidentification etc

But I still like all names in touring related to VR/AR
TeleporterTours HolodeckVacations etc

And those in the sports and esports more expressly.

I am thinking about putting one of the following up for auction on sedo this late fall.

VR.discount
VR.bargains

Of course, both these have a double play somewhat with 'vacation rentals'
so which one ?
opinions
I want the least valuable one to go. I think they are about the same but I might be missing something.

@VRdommy These have really high renewals, right? Usually over $100 a year. I'd unload both frankly. I do keep similar names like VR.education and VR.academy which I get offers on but don't want to sell.

Yeah those aren’t that great. Virtual Teacher, i wouldn't go anywhere near, possibly reg-fee with view to sell for high 3 figures-low 4.

'Virtual Dates' isn't too bad.

Problem with Rick is he'd put a price on them at around $50k each and would want a 15% stake in the company, so I'm not surprised he hasn't had any enquiries for average names like those, If I wanted a domain Rick owned I wouldn’t even bother enquiring and move on to something else, he’d be a nightmare to deal with.

I did try to buy Virtual+Shopping dot com, a few times. I used to own vShopping (which I've now sold), my idea was Virtual Shopping is the future (i still believe that) and keep them as a pair and try to sell them as a pair.

It is a great domain, but can't help but feel i dodged a bullet with it, i offered up to $12k for that name, but was dealing with someone who (like Rick) who is already a millionaire and has a reputation of being very hard to deal with, changing his pricing all the time, the guys attitude in negotiations and manner of his responses was really arrogant too, started out at $60k, then lowest he wanted was $15k and i was close to paying it and then he put his price back up to $25k I believe, but yeah as said glad it fell through, 'virtual' domains are hard to sell.

If the asking price is xx,xxx for that domain then the owner will still own it in 25 years.

It's a possible mid (if very lucky) 4 figure domain, but i wouldn't personally go near it, if i owned it I’d probably just put a BIN price at around $2000 with a 'make an offer' option and try to sell at around $1500, even then i think it could be there for months before someone even shows interest.

A great name.

I couldn't get that obviously, but did get XRshopping and ImmersiveShopping

I agree the shopping experience is changing.

Btw, Corona is a mess now but it will speed things up for names related to virtual immersive etc all that charade

I see where your coming from, but it's wishful thinking mate. I can't see how you can justify putting a mid 5 figure price tag on it right now, ie:- previous sales.

Maybe the future might change, but other than reg-fee (maybe low xxx) i personally wouldn't target domains like that in the aftermarket with view to making profit, they are hard to sell.
