I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Oh...you find epik better than namespro?

Why did they take it away?
Likely usage restrictions- with .ca's the the second-level can't be registered (ie joy.ca) if the third-level is registered. In this case joy.on.ca has been in use since 2000.

I really like both as both are good for customer support. .ca are also a good price at US$9.90.

Thats the regular price at canspace with no membership required.
Only thing is once you get to hundreds of domains the bulk tools are lacking.

They use the same control panel as Web Hosting Canada so both panels don't do well with hundreds of domains.

Generally Web Hosting Canada will give you a cheaper registration fee but the renewals are quite a bit more than Canspace.

I was pretty happy at canspace except their hosting sucked and I ended up moving away because my site took forever to load. Now I'm hosted on the google network and the site flies.

PS, I'm with godaddy with the domain club membership for my domains as well.
I pay for the membership just to get better bulk tools and to make it easier to push domains.

You do end up saving on .com's though because those are pretty cheap with domain club.

But if you have had the domain name registered, they simply cannot take t away or is that per .CA registration Policy?

I'd be vary of this particular policy point.

If I recall correctly, CIRA was having some internal issues where a small portion of premium .ca’s were accidentally released into the public where anyone could register them. They realized their mishap and took those premium domains back. Including Joy dot ca from @MapleDots. Did I miss anything?

To Be Released (TBR) Weekly .CA Picks for January 1

The .CA numbers have jumped back up this week, but it’s an extremely weak crop of domains. In fact, we’ve only been able to find two options that are even worthy of the premium name, featuring...

I Missed Christmas, but not New Year's!

Wow...that is a pretty uninspiring list. Really have to pick your spots this week.
Thanks for doing this!

...and heres wishing for a happy and prosperous new year for everyone(y)

Yeah, REGAL is going to be a fight (probably at MyID) but otherwise it's a very weak list.

Exactly as I thought, REGAL.CA is now in the hands of MyID. :xf.cool:

And so is LACY.CA...

To Be Released (TBR) .CA Results & Leftovers for January 1

The TBR list did jump back over 8,000 expired domains, but the overall quality of LLL and single-words literally fell off the table. It was quite a surprise to see the end result break through the 70 barrier, especially after the measly 54 selections on Christmas. Some of the more notable Top 10 picks included...

I have 4 or 5 domains like aitoronto.ca. aicalgary.ca....
Think these are worthwhile holding on to?

Thanks, Danto

$15.03 USD for a .ca at Epik?

Wow, they are $10.95 CAD at registrars like Canspace.
I pay $11.99 CAD at godaddy with domain club.

I'm liking some of the features and marketplace more and more at Epik but with over 500 .ca's this price is just not doable.

No option for pricing in CAD

Wish they had a ca.epik.com or a epik.com/ca site.

If they want to give godaddy a run for the money they are going to have to do better for ccTLD's

I pay US$9.90 for .ca’s. I believe I have NamePros pricing to get that price. They may even have cheaper pricing for over 500 .ca’s. @Rob Monster?

I really love Epik’s for sale landers. I use them for a few of my domains including be.ca and aids.ca.

Hehe.... nice plug, I wish I was as good at artfully plugging my domains :xf.laugh:

If I wanted a perfect domain I would buy one. :xf.wink:

That converts to $12.86 CAD plus the credit card company charging a premium for the conversion of another 1-2% which brings it over the $13 dollar mark.
