Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
All I know is I didn't alter anything . The visits suddenly stopped about 8 hours ago

It's happened to me as well, dried up completely the last 12-24 hours. Glad I'm not the only one facing this issue, obviously a hickup somewhere.

Haven't figured out anything, have you?

My GA also shows no GA views on 12 Feb.

Tried viewing a page when not logged in to Undev (using another browser) and GA does not show a real time visit.

You can see the GA code in the page by just going to View.:Source in your browser, and you'll see your GA ID there. Looks like the code has changed, before it mentioned PageTitle which was the variable you need to know which domain of yours someone visited - otherwise all the traffic would be treated as going to one domain, undeveloped.com

Are Undev in the process of adding Optimizely? I see that in the page source code.

Undev does not track logged in users, they said when I asked them before in this thread, however when I visit a domain of mine today when logged in at Undev in that same browser, I do see the GA sourcecode in the page code. Is that how it should be?

No solution for now. Still no traffic count . Something is wrong somewhere

For more expensive domains that are up for negotiations It's best to require a nonrefundable deposit of lets say $100 upon the end of negotiations and then give the buyer ample time (like up to 14 days) to make the payment, and for less expensive domains like the ones that are priced $500 or less the buyer should be required to make instant payment upon purchase. End users are a rare group and if they happen to come your way as potential buyer they should be dealt with appreciation and respect, for most people here it's not like people are lined up to buy their domains and that they are going to miss out on a sale if they gave the buyer a little more time to make the payment. IMO

Hi Oldtimer,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I appreciate it! We've identified the problem and have planned some customer development programs to understand and then address the core issue causing troubles at the moment. Your proposal can be one of the experiments we'll set up to see if the problem will be solved by going in that route.

In the past few weeks, we've identified some interesting signals already and have started assigning quality scores to traffic/leads. This or at latest next week the first implementation will go live which should make sure that less non-serious buyers complete the process of placing a bid.

We also found out that a large part of the non-serious buyers don't understand what they're doing and they don't realize that they're interacting with a domain marketplace.

Yesterday, for example, we had a young lady that placed an offer on a domain, which was accepted. She even proceeded and paid for the domain. She then called us and asked us when she could move into the new house she rented for $750 a month... So she landed on a for sale page, assumed she could rent a house for $750, completed checkout and found out she actually bought a domain.

The above example is not that unique and happens more often than we'd ever imagined.

We conclude based on the above example two things:

1: our purchase flow is very easy and frictionless. This is a good thing for all of us. A general rule in e-commerce remains; the less friction, the higher the conversion.

2: people don't read and are hard to manage. Without scaring real buyers, it's quite hard to force people to read properly what they're doing. Since we started supporting 7 languages, we did see the number of confused buyers decline but it wasn't enough.

And the above is just 1 type of "problematic buyer". There are multiple personas and one at a time we'll aim to come up with solutions to tackle the problems they create.

Kind regards,

Reza

Hi Haykay,

Thank you for raising this issue.

Yesterday we rolled out some changes indeed to improve our backend which caused an issue. The GA javascript that we generate was flagged as unsafe by our system and so was blocked. We've fixed the problem first thing this morning after I read your post here on Namepros.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Kind regards,

Reza

@Undeveloped you service has been incredibly slow lately.

Also I still would like the option to cancel it's not fair that I cannot cancel

Canceling non payers helps!

Give us some control please!

I accidentally accepted a offer and I cant cancel this is terrible. Theres nothing I can do but wait hours for support.

Did you try?
undev has feture to let you unmark as sold any sale.. at any point after sale happens.. so wenrever I see sales that I suspect will not complete (often u can tell) I unmark it right away as sold (click edit after you are in domain settingS). this still alows me and undev to continue trying collect payment.. while domain goes back to market for other leads and offers.

as far as I am concerned this is the ultimate in seller control .. and something you can only dream of having at say sedo or gd... where they want to contriol everything.. and imo with this feature, its pointless to try to implement or discuss any further imrpovvements on the unpaid system. jmo

What are you talking about? You requested us to cancel a transaction, then started offending everyone that works at Undeveloped in a 10 minute timeframe and now also post this nonsense here?

We received your cancellation request at 15:54 and the transaction was cancelled at 16:11. That's 15 minutes after your request.

Please let me know if you want to work with us in a normal way or want me to permanently delete your account with us. We ask of mutual respect from our sellers and this kind of behaviour won't be tolerated in our marketplace.

Reza any other time i ask to cancel it takes over 24hrs I'm not asking for alot just the ability to cancel undeveloped has been slow lately. It sometimes takes 2 days I apologize to who I have offended. But I still want to be able to cancel when I want to. Why cant you give me this option. I will be a very happy customer if you can do that.

I sent a bunch of messages because if I didnt I knew it wouldnt get done

@reza I got upset and I panicked because I accepted a offer that I didnt mean to accept and normally the time frame is slow

I really am sorry for being a jerk to your staff that wont happen again. I've apologized to them both.
But that doesnt change the way I feel about canceling transactions.

I feel that support has been slow lately so I kept sending messages until it got done and it got done in 10mins and not 24hours

Why not make your customer happy and give him a little control to cancel non payers?

i think he said he accepted by error...so thiss may not work for him...the self cancel method is if u want to take deal and get paid..but u just suspect nonpayer.

that being said @Undeveloped i already left feedback to move counter button where accept button is now....else as u see and as i done too...its real easy to accept by error ..just switch positions buttons plz...ty

@alcy this is what happend this buyer agreed to $600 days ago. They didnt pay we canceld the transaction. A few days go by they come back today and offer $400 I declined. Then they offer $500 I accepted by mistake and panicked so I started messaging undveloped. I got upset that I couldnt cancel on my own. The buyer paid the 500 lol this is why canceling is a good thing You have power! The next time they come back they know your not playing games. They understand that no theres no transaction at all and they need to pay

We're all good :). I appreciate the contact we had moments ago. Have a great weekend all!

@Undeveloped so any chance at all for switching positions of acceptoffer and makeoffer buttons? I am going to estimate this one at 5 mins of coding for yoru team.

may not sound like much to u.. but I basically come close (especially when having small concentration lapses now and then) to hitting accept button 90% of time when I want to hit makeoffer.

if you for some odd reason you find this idea sucks or is not worthy.. maybe you can at least add a double confirmation after we click accept offer button... but I think switch positions is easier.. and better too.

I am sure you would not be just helping me out if you do this.. but others too. and well.. help yourself too down the road.. for all those accepted offers by mistake clicked buttons.

thanks a lot :)

Click transaction and then click "TRASH" button.
And that's all.

hmmm... that really does nothing to the sale. it just removes it from your sold section view ;)

as I said before the only way to cancel right away if u suspect nonpayer is click the domain.. then edit... the uncheck sold box. that brings domain back to market.

but in his case neither your method nor mine is good.. so he needs to conract support to cancel.. cause he sold by mistake ;)

This button works for me at least regarding Undeveloped escrow.
Recently I trashed another non-payer and this transaction disappeared completely.

well yes it disappears from yuor transaction list.. but then you can click the trashcan icon on top.. and see all deals you "trashed".. and then click restore icon... and they are back in your transaction list

so you see it doesn't cancel anything oficially.. it just removes it from your view.

to cancel completely u gotta email support.

to put sold name back on market cause you suspect non payer, while stil having undev chase buyer for payment, you gotta do edit.. then uncheck box

as far as I know those are the only ways

My escrow order was removed completely, it is absent even in "Deleted" list.

you mean u made a sale.. it went into your transactions tab.. then you clicked trash on it.. from within your transactions tab... and now when you go to the trash icon there.. its not there for restore? well.. it should be. cause thats how it works for all sales I ever trashed.

And again...
I didn't make a sale...
I just ordered their "Agreement reached" for 5% or escrow in other words.
Few days elapsed - it wasn't confirmed and wasn't paid by the buyer.
Then I trashed it... It disappeared completely...
Nothing to restore (no such entry even in "Removed" list): https://undeveloped.com/users/sales_activity/removed

ah ok sorry. I misunderstood this

I never trashed yet before the import lead for 5%.

so what you say make sense that it deletes it forever.

otherwise, for the other stuff at 9% ... what I said applies.
