Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
most say have your own landers, I will long term but for nowI think 9% for a corporation middle man to represent trust and authority is a steal , that along with quality appearance and platform options.
and what is obvious the willing for constant attempt to make everyone happy, which is impossible.

I do not see a better option till one is ready to represent professional website with trust , authority, and excellent mediation skill. and even then your likely still relying on a service like escrow.
Excellent said!

@Undeveloped

i was doing url forward via bodis (and above.com) til now.. but got upset with the delays ... and thought I'd give a try with DNS changed to undelveloped... for some names.. started with names I own on godaddy.

I don't know so much about how to check for loading speeds etc.. so I just use a basic google service to test.. and I was not happy to see that I basically get similar speeds (slow) with direct DNS to undeveloped.. as I did before with my redirects.. the difference is maybe 1 second in all the numbers I get... and its a whopping 15secs for a fully finished page load (3-4second to a first paint).

am I just using the wrong site to test these values or why else would it be slow for me even with putting your dns on my names?

I use this page to test (with my gd name 2015.co in link):

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=2015.co

I have suggestion, why dont you email customers about new hot domains?
this will increase your sales for sure. Brandbucket do something similar where they send weekly email about latest added domains.

But you need to collect emails of potential customers, you can collect emails from past domain offers through your market place (but you have to put check box for newsletter opt-in).

I don't think google shows live data. Instead, it uses basically aggregated running average for some period of time. So, if you just made a change, it will be some time before it reflects the current situation.

I typed in your domain and it loaded very fast.

@Undeveloped
I don't know so much about how to check for loading speeds

You can test at tools.pingdom.com
Just now it showed 1.1s loading time from Washington DC as selected location:
https://tools.pingdom.com/#59e09b3019400000
That is pretty good.

As Recons.com said, it can actually take up to 48 hours for DNS to update after a change.

If I type your domain into my browser I get a redirect to https://undeveloped.com/buy-domain/2015.co?redirected=true&tld=co - I do not see 2015.co in the browser address bar. Is that what you want to happen?

hmm thats a bit odd.. I used 2015.co to run test of speed .. and put it on dns undeveloped.. versus my other names which were redirects via link you showed.

so I am not sure why its still showing the link u gave in address bar. whois shows dns.undeveloped for it already.. so I think it should just show 2015.co in address bar.
is this odd?

So far what I have observed from the reported sales on NP, only $XXX sales happens via undeveloped. Have not seen any big sale coming from there. Anyone else also feeling the same?

Yes, there has been bigger sales more than $XXX on Undeveloped.
Some of us domainers prefer not to post our sales publicly.
One of my buds sold C**.io for $16K
I myself, have two sales pending at the moment, one at $7,000 and the other at $3,300.
Both of those pending sales are .io's.

I sold domain Bitcoin******.com for $X,XXX few months back.
From my experience in dealing with Undeveloped, I must say they are very professional.

Thanks a lot buddy for sharing this info. Though I also like their team & landing pages but I was getting negative vibes after seeing mid or low $XXX sales only. Now you made me more confident about them. Thanks!!😊

I just noticed a Rental option, with a little "R" in the portfolio listing grid. Its a sortable element too. I set up one of my names "for rent" and set it to the price I'd want to rent it for. I also have a BIN (and lease) set for that domain. When I visit the name it only shows the monthly rental price that I set but not a BIN nor any indication that I'd be willing to sell it and "click here to see the price" anywhere. I'd think that would be good to see as well.

There is no category on @namebio for Undeveloped.com reported sales. Any plans to add that?

But there are Undeveloped.com sales reported on DNJournal, supplied by Undeveloped.com, for example:
http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2018/20180124.htm
Completing the 6-figure trifecta was the $101,500 sale of a ccTLD, Music.ai, by Undeveloped.com. The latter sale was from a list of previously unreported sales from recent months that Undeveloped provided us with this week. Their roster also included #4 BitForex.com at $65,000.

As I recall, I read somewhere on Undeveloped.com that sales are not published - can anyone find that exact text? Because it wasn't clear if that is a policy and whether that means sellers or buyers should not publish sales. When Undeveloped.com publish sales, as above, do they seek consent of buyer and seller?

Undeveloped's Privacy Policy may apply:
https://undeveloped.com/legal/privacy-policy
General information...

Because we value your privacy, we:
  • process data in compliance with the requirements laid down by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other privacy legislation;
  • do not share of sell your data to any third party

By comparison, as I recall on Sedo all sales by default are public unless you tell them to not publish your sales (there used to be an account wide setting where you could tell them not to publish all sales, I think now you have to contact them to request that, but it may have changed.)

I would love to track undeveloped sales on Nambio if it can be added there.
