Has anyone used undeveloped.com to sell domains? They claim to be able to increase a domainers sales by 54%.
I would like to see my domains fully available for sale unless and until an outright purchase has happened or a deposit/first payment has been received.
Yes, this is the way it should be!
It would not be good to miss a potential sale to another prospect just because the domain is frozen, making it
unavailable.
At the very least, when a domain sale is pending, the landing page should state:
Sale Pending
and also include that the domain will be available again if the sale is not completed.
This way a potential sale to a serious customer is not lost due to a tire kicker or
a buyer who is not serious and is holding the domain hostage.

When I search for a domain (or part of it) at undeveloped's front page there is no filters option. However, once I click submit and it shows results, I can see the 'filters' option. Now when I want to check .com as the only extension I want to look for, I can't find it:

So I scroll down (alot) and notice that once alphabetical order is complete, it starts over again:

So I scroll some more and I finally find .com:

I think it is best if you guys list the most commonly used TLDs on top of that list. No one wants to scroll, and scroll, and scroll some more, to find the extension they need (which almost always is a .com)
Hi @LaszloSchenk @Undeveloped thank you for sharing your thoughts on the domain reservation topic but you kinda missed my post. If a supposed buyer doesn't find the .com extension in filters, they won't even get to our domains. Please check it with its attached screenshots.

You're looking at the mobile UI. What you propose is already implemented and even localized.
For US/International users we show for example .com/.net and .org as recommended extensions:

Lastly, buyers type in the extension when searching, that primary extension we also save as TLD.

It doesn't work on all mobiles though. On my mobile it shows the TLDs in alphabetical order (twice) and .com is WAY down the 2nd list.
I think having the option to cancel is important it let's the buyer know hey your not going to pay I'm canceling instead of sending constant payment reminders. At least give us a button to say okay for this domain 24 hours or the deal is going to be canceled

I like the idea to give sellers the opportunity to announce a payment deadline of for example 24 or 72 hours. Automatically after that period has lapsed and the buyer hasn't paid, the transaction is then canceled.
You are very correct on this. Look at the scenario I shared earlier. If the buyer had come out to say something, I wouldn'have cancelled the deal in the first place. But buyer will rather keep silent to play games with you, may be you could be frustrated to drop the price further.My suggestion is, if the buyer faces any unexpected delays, like credit cut, board/partner approval, etc. etc., he must inform Undev and the seller about this delay asap. Then the seller feels more calm. And - implementing the idea above about down payment - in a case of such delay the buyer could be required to deposit some non refundable advance.
And, of course, don't switch the system to non-binding model! In such case everything will be ruined.

Thank you for raising these questions and we understand your concerns.
Before I dive into why we're confident that our model, revenue-wise, is the best option available for you, let me share with you a couple of case studies that I bumped into this morning alone:
A $1.000 deal initiated on the 8th of November where I was asked to terminate the deal on the 11th was paid on the 14th due to a required internal approval
A $4.995 deal closed on the 6th of November, where the seller asked to terminate the deal on the 10th was paid on the 14th due to a credit card limit increase required (all details indicated the payment would come through but the delay made the seller uncomfortable resulting in a tendency to terminate it).
And I see similar cases like the ones above on a daily basis. Domains don't sell like hot sandwiches, once a legit buyer drops by a lot can still happen to make that deal go bust. In our model, also due to our personal attention for all transactions, no deal goes bust, as long as the buyers intent is/was to complete his/her purchase. The moment we sense that's not going to happen, we quickly revert this information to our sellers and relist the domain.
In our model, all sales and offers are legally binding to avoid tire kickers to freely place bids and retract them. When we inform the buyer that they can't cancel a transaction
because they made up their mind and you change the lander from "sold" to "for sale" we have no ground to stand on and the entire transaction has to be canceled.
Another legal issue with what is proposed here is that a domain can be sold two times to different parties while the first buyer is in the process of paying or has already paid with a delayed payment method like bank wire.
If we change the model and make all offers non-legally binding, there's one guarantee which is that all sellers at Undeveloped will effectively sell fewer domains.
Quite frankly, it's even easier for us to work with the non-binding model than with the legally binding model and we're not changing to that model simply because we want to safeguard your revenue. In order to ensure that stalled transactions do not consume too much time for you, we have set up a dedicated team of representatives, including me, that works hard following up on all your leads/buyers, trying to secure your payment as soon as possible. This team coordinates the closing of your transactions while keeping you as a seller fully informed.
So keeping the above in mind, would you prefer to close more leads and generate more revenue or be able to gain more listing options? The trade-off is quite big and not worth it from our perspective.

I am sick too with non paying buyers
but I prefer blame buyers for non payment more than undeveloped
