I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Sold for $1750 - not I.

I would have paid up to 2.5k for it had I seen it.
Imagine all the possibilities with such a great brand name.

I'm such a big fan I would probably have opened up a pixel fan page for canadians, this way we would have a place to bitch about not getting the products until 6 months after the states gets it :xf.grin:

That's expensive, but still not bad for a domain name like that. It's extremely flexible and would resonate with a business.

Did you manage to grab any NNN domains? I was really surprised how long they stayed open before finally being selected - earliest at 32 and most went in the 50's and 60's.

I don't do NNN's. Never understood the value in them. In the .com the Chinese seem to love them but our restrictions prevent that so I have never really looked at them.

I thought you did actively buy them - someone around here does, and I thought it was you. Sorry.

It's stopped working for me now, and am getting exceeded limit error, must have caught some glitch.

i did use the register.ca deal for 1$ twice now, actually displaying .99 cents for me again as I type
Again, go to cira, enter name in search, registrars show up, click on Register.ca button, should show .99

It doesn't work and is now limited to 1 per account.

LOL, I think their site just crashed.

What I do faithfully every day or two, is go to cira, and type in a name. Then visit every registrar via the button, and score some great deals. Always looking for transfer deals, but namespro is place i go for that

Either way, I went through some of my old Leftover articles and bought a $1 domain + 3 at $4.50.

There is still some nice stuff out there.

I'm betting a colour like BLUE.CA or GREEN.CA. something like that. Or maybe a short power term like BEST.CA or TOP.CA - it's got to be ultra-premium for a $50K offer that was not accepted.
Bodes well for my Bests / ca ;)

Surprised (as of this posting) that these recently dropped .ca's with high back links have not been picked up..
360WebMart.ca ( estimated 1.7 M )
NewMediaProductions.ca ( estimated 334.6 K)
EventsInOttawa.ca ( estimated 134.2 K )
CoolDomains.ca ( estimated 23.0 K )

Has anyone ever bought one of these and had the banklinks translate into actual traffic?

I tried this one time (with a defunct app builder with significant traffic and backlinks) and it never worked out to more than 50 hits a month.

lol

Spend anywhere from $1.00 to 15$ for a expired domain and you get 50 visits from it... that is not bad!

I do my research, park them unless they get a lot of traffic then I redirect them...
the one that I got two weeks ago is getting me 50 visits a day

its nice to get trafic.. but why is trafic without clicks and revenue valuable to you...or how..?

Traffic is still traffic. Eyes on a website will always have the potential to convert. Additionally, traffic helps with SEO, which will ultimately increase your organic leads + conversions.

@alcy This not my first rodeo doing this...I research them (wayback machine etc)..park them using the keyword of the niche that the domain indexed for or getting traffic for..if they get a lot of visits, I redirect them to a similiar niche....also start building new backlinks..

This is the one that I bought 2 or three weeks ago...high amout of backlinks..lot of business articles.... https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://successprofessor.ca now is redirected to my Amazon link...paid for itself with 7 days of owning it..

Cooldomains (unless registered by now) would be great for a domain blog/portfolio...note example, I never spend anytime researching the name!

update...thanks @Joshua Harding seems we typed at same time....your answer way more shorter and professional... !
