Hey folks,
I curious how many of you have their own website, and if you direct traffic to your custom landing page.
In addition, if you mind to share websites that you have that are not built with efty.
Thank you in advance!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I designed a site, I liked it, but now I'm not so sure as it's a bit slow, and anyway it's not my opinion that matters!

Site: https://namedream.com

Landing page sample: (coolskateboards.com)
https://namedream.com/index_play_65.php?domain=coolskateboards.com

I really like the simplicity of the search function on your website! Gets right to the point in a functional way, and yet still is attractive. Best of luck with your sales, and thank you for sharing your example!

No, I don't have my own website so far.

I am focusing in my domain portfolio at the moment. Domaining demands 24-7 of your time if you really want to make it in this tough Domain Industry.

they were not able to add my portfolio
of more then 5000 names

and that would be not cheap at all

so I established my own place

BuyUsedDomain . com
Very interesting Frank did you do all this coding? I would get free SSL on the site if possible from letsencypt.org.

Thank you! I happy with that part of the design, the landing pages not so sure. I am tracking the clicks to "buy now" from the domain landing pages, but not from search, so I need to add that. It's doable with events in Analytics and a small script on the html/php.

For those looking for feedback on a website, you can get a technical check on your website free using this automated tool from Silktide (no association with company).

http://nibbler.silktide.com/

They only cover 5 of your pages (a paid service at Silktide will do them all and about twice as many tests in report), but they check a lot of things such as: whether you have used titles, proper use of header tags, meta tags, age of site (and domain registration), social media interaction (at least Facebook and Twitter), whether site is mobile friendly, how images are handled and scaled, how many sites link to your site, amount of text per page, how fast the site loads, how the site handles not found pages, whether analytics is used, etc. Very comprehensive.

I think combining automated technical evaluation with views of other users, as is happening here, give the best of both worlds.

Your logo is way too similar to Am*erica*n E*agle, Are you not afraid of troubles?

No, as it's a generic animal. I'm based in Ireland, and never heard of this company. Also, I sell domains, they sell jeans. I'm no expert, but I'd imagine it's a different class of goods.

You've got great resources there. Kudos!

Now one thing. Can't understand why you're sending potential buyers of caresses/com to GD domain search page? For GD to offer your buyers cheaper alternatives?!
I think I'll be more logical to send them directly to the domain's landing page. The link should look something thus:

https://auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?domain=caresses.com

It corresponds to the syntax I use in my scripts if/when I need to re-direct buyers from my marketplace to GD.
Try it, it works. :xf.grin:

That's exactly what I was intending to do when I set it up but I must have had a brain melt moment lol. Thanks for your help.

One potential advantage of your own website is that you can set up a page for each domain name lander that demonstrates actual use in some sense of the domain name - e.g. providing information on a topic or links to where information can be obtained. This by itself might not be enough for any UDRP challenge, but would be a step in the right direction. You also, with your own landing page on your own website, of course control exactly how much information you want to give re availability of the domain name and whether you want any advertisement content or not. My long/medium term goal is to do this for each of my domains, eventually.

It's a little slow to load, but does load, from here in Canada. Really like the visual look of your home page, and nicely presented blog information. Nice to have an example that goes beyond domain investing. Interesting choice of domain name too! Best wishes as you develop it further.

Wow, that is a fantastic set of resources related to domain name investing, really attractively presented! I really like how it is simple to find the category of what you want, like Escrow, and the use of the logos is an effective and clean presentation.

NP users if you have not already, check out his site! (at domlinks.com)

I developed domainologic.com (with Linux, python, postresql)
I developed a template used for every DN
some DN directly link to a maketplace, though
I only need to add a new domain in the database and it's done
It's still in progress; I need to show the price in the template page for example

Thanks for the kind words. I don't get much time to spend on it but I have a few functions I plan to add to the site in the near future and hope to break down the categories more to make it even easier. Any links/sites you'd like me add just let me know. Thanks again.
