It’s been more than four years since @lionel_efty and I set out on a mission to change the way domain name investors manage, market and monetize their portfolio’s. And what a ride it has been!

After a private beta with a small group of users, we decided to turn to NamePros.com in December 2014 to announce our public beta and with an open invite for anyone to sign-up and provide feedback. And feedback we got. A lot. In fact, the feedback has never stopped and it is safe to say that it is thanks to the community here that Efty transformed from our humble vision of a domain portfolio management tool into the full-fledged sales platform it is today and that we’re continuing to build for you.

Pretty much all of the new features we shipped over the past few years were build on top of the original framework that we developed for Efty back in 2014 which resulted in a somewhat bloated application that isn’t always as fast and bug-free as we like it to be and frankly, has started to look a bit tired.

That’s why we set out to completely revamp the application, streamline the menus, simplify navigation and build a responsive layout for all devices and operating systems. The result is a platform with a strong emphasis on helping you make more money, by driving more sales and better reporting.

We think it’s turning out awesome but we need some unsalted feedback before we flip the switch and roll it out to our entire userbase.

And what better place to turn for feedback than here on NamePros? The very same place we announced the first version of our platform :)

The new Efty is not just old wine in new bottles. We already incorporated a lot of feedback and delivered on a lot of the popular request posted by members in the many Efty threads on the forum.

With the new Efty, you can:
  • Create custom categories for your marketplace (yay!)
  • Rearrange the order of premium domains on your homepage
  • Remove the Make Offer form from the marketplace (for your BIN domains)
  • Get in-app notifications for new inquiries and transactions.
  • Turn on/of logos in your marketplace or For-Sale landing pages.
  • Show listings on your marketplace in chronological or alphabetical order.
  • Activate two-factor authentication for added security
  • Quickly see which of your domain names are under review.
  • Add a Privacy Policy page and place Active Consent checkboxes on your Make Offer forms.
To help us test drive the #NewEfty you sign into your Efty account via https://app.efty.com/login/
Not an Efty user yet? Feel free to sign up for a 30 day, free trial here.

And please, do let us know what you think in the comments. Did we miss something? Spotted a bug? Love it, hate it? All feedback, comments, questions, and suggestions are very much appreciated.

This is a paid post.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
In the notification email, there is not Country IP address, just the buyer's IP. So that i have to log in to my EFTY account, or using another app to get the buyer's country.
I hope you will add this information in notification email.
Another problem: anyways to update Expired Domain's Status in bulk ? i have to update them one by one :(.

We used to add the Country IP in the email but it wasn't always accurate so we recommend users to use a site such as https://www.iplocation.net/ so they will get the exact location of the potential buyer, including the city.

There are two ways to edit domains in bulk.
  1. Directly from the Domains overview. Select the domains you want to edit, click Edit selection in the top of the grid and the click the Bulk edit button.
  2. You can edit your entire portfolio at once with our new bulk import and edit tool. This tool allows you to download a CSV of all your data, edit it and then upload it again.
Edit: sorry misread your post.

To update expired domains in bulk you go to https://app.efty.com/domains/type/expired/ and select the domains you would like to update the Whois for. Then click on Edit selection and click Update Whois.

I am a member of Efty but haven't really used it in a year or two.

Two items really holds me back from becoming a fulltime user...and they are:

1) Followup emails to potential buyers.

I know Uniregistry has automatic templates that sends an email to buyer and then you set times to resend another email to buyer...automatically follows up every inquiry.

For myself, after 30 days and no sale, brokers take over my lead. I am not recommneding brokers...just followup emails to buyers.

2) Also...does Efty display info about buyer?

I like the detective tools Uniregistry has about all buyers.

So, I would like automatic emails to buyers and followups emails. And, tools to learn about buyer.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi @Doron Vermaat and @lionel_efty ,

It would be really nice if you:
1) show the geolocation of buyer in the email.
2) add a field for Company Name in the offer form.
3) add a FAQ page.
4) make the sitemap page optional.

Rearrange the order of your premium Domians in your page is a huge plus and time saving ! Can't wait to log in and do this !

Thank you very much ! I love Efty and hope to make my first sale with it soon !
2 days ago I deleted my whole efty marketplace and canceled my subscription after 2 years of using Efty. I have created my own webpage instead. The only reason why I did that was that it was not possible to rearrange the order of premium domains at homepage, and for me with my 800+ domain there and constantly updating portfolio that was VERY important. After I did all that (and I just finished new website few hours ago), now I read we have this feature available. Well, hmm,...what to say....anyway, better late, then never! :)

Its possible to rearrange order of premium names. I fingered it out last night, tickled pink.
Actually i just set my marketplace up after 2 years of efty for ssl reasons. Been working it hard
I found some issues i will addresse later. Its more than parking to me and makes my life easier.
Landers were my main reason for joining efty.
Currently categorizing all my names

Minor thing but would be nice: in the 'Inquiries' section, when you click on an inquiry you get the delete option for that inquiry; might be nice to also have a 'spam' button, so that inquiry's email addy gets flagged as spam and further inquiries from that sender are blocked. For example, lately my Efty landing pages (for a few different domains, not just one) have been receiving a few spam mails from:

[email protected]

Phone
416-385-3200

IP Address
104.194.139.122

Hi,

My name is Randy and I was looking at a few different sites online and came across your site beautyshed.com. I must say - your website is very impressive. I found your website on the first page of the Search Engine.

etc etc etc

Not super-annoying (yet), but would be nice to have the spam option. Minor point, because I'm loving the Efty system. Great work, guys :)

@Doron Vermaat @lionel_efty Any chance of looking to improve the current placeholder for marketplace domains that do not have a logo? Currently, there is a watermark-type placeholder running diagonally across the allocated area. I guess for those users that choose not to display logos with their domains, something smarter-looking would improve the visual aspect of their marketplace. Thoughts?

When i accessed my domains on Chrome, i saw that they were appeared as sub-domains for Eftymarket.com, such as : SunnyCeramic.com was became https://eftymarket.com/SunnyCeramic.com/.
I really really don't like this. Anyway to remove this format and turn my domain back to their official addresses ?

Hi Paul, auto-follow up emails is not something Efty does or will do because we're not between you and the (potential) buyer. You can, however, send as many follow-ups to a lead as you like, but you have to do this yourself. When someone submits an offer or inquiry for one of your domains, Efty provides you with the name, email (can be verified if you like) and the IP (location) of the buyer. This information often is sufficient to research a buyer on Google and find a LinkedIn profile for example.

Hi @Doron Vermaat and @lionel_efty ,

It would be really nice if you:
1) show the geolocation of buyer in the email.
2) add a field for Company Name in the offer form.
3) add a FAQ page.
4) make the sitemap page optional.

These are good suggestions and I will make sure to make a note of them.

Aw bummer, I wish we posted this two days earlier. Hopefully, you want to give the platform another go in the near future!

Hmm, this shouldn't happen with the Captcha we have in place. If you can email me some of those I will make sure we look into this.

Good idea Matt. We will first be focusing our resources on better integrations with our escrow partners but after that, we're looking at a big revamp of the marketplace feature and this is something we can certainly look at improving.

Did you choose to redirect your domains to EftyMarket.com? You can check these settings under https://app.efty.com/settings/landers/ and change this.

When you access your domain from Safari, this will happen as well.

Hi guys!

Just something I noticed, and I don't know if it's connected to the latest update. But when uploading a logo to one of the landing pages, how can that be removed if I came to change my mind?

The only option is to reupload an image.

Sorting of domains does not work properly for me (Domains => Portfolio => Sort by extension or other column)

Anybody else can confirm this error ?

I like a lot the changes to the new Efty. I particularly like that now you can designate which domains are premium, and have them the ones that show, and drag them around to arrange the order just as you want. That one change is such a huge improvement!

Thank you!

They are working for me at app.efty.com and efty.com
When your cursor over exp/registyrar/ext it doesn't have the right finger as cursor, but function works good

Can you try with 100 rows/page ?

That is in 100 rows mode

My setup which sorts incorrectly is "Show 100 rows" and these columns showing : Domain, #inquiries, Registrar, Extension, Expiry Date (5 total)

Mine is exactly the same, I sorted each one and they all work.
I sent messages to https://blog.efty.com/customer-support/ form at bottom and got quick replies.
Get it figured out. Do they show in the same order each time you click registrar or inquiries, like if you go back and forth is it same incorrect order or different?

Have you tried to click 3 or 4 times the same column?

Well I figured it out. The sorting arrow next to the "Extension" is actually for the previous column ! (Registrar)

The same thing happens for all columns : the arrow shows very close to the next column and can mislead you.

Ok this was not an error, but the next one probably is :xf.grin:

Again under Domains => Portfolio, I put in "net" in the search box and the results are a bit puzzling.

I think I figured out why the weird results when you type something in the search box...

The system tries to match the input string against *anything* in the domain's record, even nameservers or domain category ! not just the sld or tld.

For instance, it shows an IOT domain of mine when I type "net", because the category is "Internet of Things (IoT)" !!!
