Slow down bud! If God is truly top, then the untoppable top is really not the top and ceases to be the top (Draw your crayons within that sentence ). At best, second best top, which begets the existential question, If top is truly not top why name it top?- name it 1/2 top or 3/4th top.

There can't be a 1/2 top.
If you "divide" a top, then at least one "part" (the higher one) will remain as the new whole top.

.top is above .com because .com is king and a "king" is not the highest instance** in human ranking system - above every king is the top.

It's not meant offending - but according to a higher logic, the actual "fight" (symbolically) is indeed a bigger one, here is a sketch:

Imagine you are involved in the (imaginary) "fight" of

com.top vs top.com
then logically the next higher level / "fight" would be

top.top vs com.com
because now each domain is absolutely "pure" (although they are yet small).

But this level / next "fight" would in fact just be the "beginning tier" of the journey to the actual final fight - because you can add a "top" / "com" to each domain...

I asked some ordinary person "What is .com"? They replied .com is "Internet" and then I asked "what is .____(fill in the blanks with any tld. My surprise is specially for old domain .net and .org. most of them think those are technical related something or email. My another surprise few people think if the domain is not .com then they might be virus and some people replied they dont what to visit unknown sites. Very strange.

This was not an ordinary person, it was obviously a totally uninformed / disinterested person.

Believe me, namePros won't remove this thread (?) if they will stay neutral - because there is no reason to remove a thread about the question if .com is king or not or any other thread which is clearly a discussion thread for all who want to exchange their views about this or any other domain related question.
