Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship

Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I have a completely different approach to sales information. If Buyer wants an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement), they have to pay for the privilege. If no NDA is in place and the sale is substantial, I'll do my best to publicize the sale as I know that I not only get bragging rights, but that the publicity also helps to bolster future sales in that particular vertical. (e.g. If when a Buyer makes an inquiry, you can point to several recent $$$$ sales of similar names, it helps you justify your higher pricing.)

I think I read somewhere that the King of Domains (Rick Schwartz) refuses to ever agree to NDAs for this publicity rational and other reasons. (Limiting potential liability also has something to do with it, I suspect.;))

well said! posting VR sales helps us all.. and creates good momentum.. not to mention makes for great fun read too! for all!

its not likely any of our enduser buyers will ever find a way to this thread on namepros to post a sale, so unless buyer requests otherwise (nda), I always do my best to post the sale!

imo
cheers

I agree and like your approach. I haven’t sold a VR name yet, but plan on posting the price here when I do sell one. I really appreciate the members that have posted their transactions. It gives us the most accurate real time appraisal for similar VR domains. Namebio is very helpful too.

@End Game, beyond just posting here, please consider contacting Ron over at DNjournal.com and having him post your VR sales on the weekly Domain sales page... (Of course, this is only applicable for larger sales, 2k plus for .com... But, then again, these are really the sales we all want to publicize anyway!!! ;))

Yes I will. I sold a domain a couple of months ago for $1700, but figured it was too low for them to report. Good to know $2000 is their minimum. I assume namebio has a way to report private sales or not?

The namebio contact info / email is noted on their site - Just drop the guys a line and they'll post up your sale pronto! :) (PS - Nice 1.7k sale!)

I've just received a very solid offer on VRClinic(org) - I'm considering it? In the low - mid $x,xxx range

I sold the The/VR/Clinic(.)com awhile back for $4K.

I think I'd be happy with $4K for VRClinic(.)org.

Good luck man. (y)

I think I reported it awhile ago and added it to namebio, although I might have not revealed the name in this thread. It was through Afternic.

Microsoft Picks up AltspaceVR, Plans to Build the “preeminent [AR/VR] community”

Following weeks of speculation surrounding the social VR platform’s successful turnaround, it has been revealed today that AltspaceVR is now part of Microsoft. Despite being one of the original social VR services, the company fell into financial difficulties in July, and almost completely shut down.

Update (10/3/17): At today’s Windows Mixed Reality event in San Francisco, Microsoft announced that AltspaceVR is now part of the family. The social VR platform ran out of funding in July, announcing an imminent closure, but the service was saved thanks to a passionate community response and investment from an unnamed party, which has now been revealed.
