I look forward to picking your mind about this.

Payoneer Escrow and Escrow are well known but not really a PayPal alternative; have you actually found any?

Share your favourite PayPal alternative(s) and tell us why.

Thanks Pros

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I supposed so.

It seems payza .com and skrill.com are so far the best alternative to PP.
But what about payoneer's personal payments service? They rolled out that option some weeks ago and it allows multicurrency too.

Hi all!
I want to use Payoneer for outbound sales.I read that there is a lot of questions from Payoneer at direct payment of the end user to Payoneer card. Your opinion and experience? Of course, advice is also welcome :xf.smile: payoneer escrow? @Brandon Abbey

Payoneer was not designed as an escrow service but more as a mass payout system; I have read that if you use Payoneer to collect payments you have ZERO protection against charge backs etc.

Hence the need to use Payoneer Escrow for more protection.

Now I use Paypal and always make the domain transfer first, and then end user pay me. So far, I have not had any problems with my payments. I would like to know how Payoneer payment works when I send Payoneer invoice and the end user pay me with credit card or e-check?

You really need to go on their website

Can Payoneer disburse payments to the seller via PayPal? I've always wanted to know this but no one can answer...
As of right now PayPal is not an option.

Anyone knows is it possible to use Payoneer buy now buttons or similar service that will redirect the potential buyer to the payoneer transaction page?
Getting closer to offering Buy Now buttons. We did develop a light version of our integration for domain marketplaces. This is what Efty is using.

You can be paid in Bitcoin or Ethereum with a wallet address from places like Coinbase, Exodus, Gemini, or MyEtherWallet.com. Payment is near intantaneous with <1% fees. For instance, you can send your Ether from your "MyEther".eth wallet account to your Coinbase wallet and from there convert your Ether into a cash deposit into your current checking account. All within a few minutes with near zero fees.

We just updated the marketing page on our website. A number of you suggested we upgrade our visibility for domainers. Hope this helps and thanks for the suggestion. Also thanks to those that gave us some nice feedback. https://escrow.payoneer.com/segments/domainnames

Thanks,

Brandon

so whats your logic or reasons behind not wanting to implement something 90% Of your clients would want to use and would welcome as an addition to your site? just curious. cheers.

Right now it has to do with priorities and the other projects we have going to add functionality to our domain offering. Thanks

Brandon

sounds good. thanks for info.
and the pm.

p.s. just to be sure I was talking about paying out to domainers to their paypal.. not for buyers to be able to pay for purchase using paypal (which you may already be offering, I do not know). it appears in your pm to me you were discussing why buyers are unable to pay using paypal.

Bingo! or Litecoin, or Ether, or etc....

it's fun to receive bitcoin payments for sure.. easy too like you said.. but from buyer perspective, would you pay with YOUR bitcoins to a total stranger, before he transfers the domain to you?

cause in domaining, or any other type of transaction, no one delivers the product before getting paid.

this is why bitcoin payments are taking things back to square one.. and its the same problem as with gertting paypal payment, where seller is not protected against chargeback from buyer.. in case of btc, buyer is not protected against seller not delivering domain.

therefore bitcoins are even worse than paypal and less secure. when comes to domain dealings.

and the simple fact that practically no one today uses them for this purpose, and prefers to talk about escrow services and find out which ones are best.. speaks for itself.. of their shortcomings... cheers.

Smart Contracts are already here. My .eth names are listed on ENSListing.com. How it works is: I list my .eth name, Buyer can make an offer or put up the asking price in Ether. Seller than is opted to either renegotiate or accept the offer.
The certain steps that have to take place for me to transfer the name are the following. Once listed, Buyer must deposit an amount of ether, 2nd, Seller must respond within a week (I think) by transfering the name to buyer. Once the Name is released by seller the deposit is automatically sent to seller. If seller does not respond to buyers deposit it will be released back to the buyer after a certain amount of time.

Smart Contracts !

Alcy, this do not make sense, I believe the opposite to be true.

everyone can believe what they want. but I don't recommend you believe you are protected next time you send someone 10 of your bitcoins to pay for your 40k domain purchase.

if bitcoin was the simplest and best way to pay for your domains, all kinds of smart folk wouldn't be looking round for best escrow services and asking questions about it. the proof of what I said in previous post, is simply in the fact that almost nobody is using bitcoin to pay for domains.

cheers

Yea, I know what you mean. I'm not using bitcoin to buy and sell my domain names either. Bitcoin is way to slow for normal everyday purchases. Thats why I use Ethereum.

Let me try and clarify. True, right now we do not have a system in place that allows you to list and sell your names without some 3rd party intervention like paypal to enable the transfer of funds. But this is exactly what smart contracts provide.
A decentralized system uses cryptocurrencies as a method of funds transfer. Using a Smart contract both parties are guaranteed security. This new system works without a paypal or credit card or bank account.
My .eth names are created, auctioned and owned using a smart contract called ENS Ethereum Naming System. Now that I own a .eth name I can create subdomains off the original name, I can create value and substance off the original.eth name, let it grow, rent out subdomains, all with smart contracts that are already in place. And now that I'm ready to sell some .eth names I can sell to anyone, anywhere, near instantly and both parties receive what was agreed at the exact same time.
This is whats coming for everything. Look into Veritaseum for the cutting edge of our very near future.
Peace
