3rd layoff in 7 years - sick of working for other people. I have had some success doing this - contemplating doing this for a living. May just start and see how I do for a while job hunting. Ugh

But heres the thing. There was no miscommunication. He agreed to buy the name. He tried to sell the domain and he didnt own it and this isnt right. But he made a 150k sale. Hes a hero. Lol

Making it public is a good thing so people can see the truth. So they know who they are dealing with.

I don't know enough to say that it's a good thing to have made it public but regardless, you have. Maybe it was the right thing to do, maybe it wasn't. I don't know.

I don't look back. I buy, sell, drop etc and it's all good. Compared to my real business, domaining is like an adventure vacation. I get tired here and there from hiking and activities, but it's still a vacation.

I am a bystander as far as the sale dispute goes and I have never had business with either person involved so it would be inappropriate for me to comment about this specific situation.

But just this morning, I agreed verbally to a 6 grand transaction. Normally it is done via handshake but the other person is many states away. The only thing a person has on this floating rock is his/her word. There have been times I have taken a loss when a better offer came in after an agreement was reached or there is something I missed when I was a buyer that ended up causing value/money to be lost.

Back to the dispute...only two people know what happened and hopefully time will make things better...and hopefully the sale gone bad results in an ever higher sale price.

btw...150 grand sale should mean the op IS making a living as a domainer!!!

I have no problem airing our deal since you asked me to do it publically:
1.For the record, you have hounded all my posts for a year for no reason at all, not sure why you have a hard on for me but whatever.
2. You and I don't get along and you hired a broker to sell me a name - hid behind someone else knowing I would never buy from you. Shady as hell.
3. I agreed to pay using PayPal because I trusted the broker so I could use my credit card - I was upfront with that
Broker wanted Escrow - I told him I had to use credit card - he didn't think it would work since they had a limit. I explained I had used a credit card deal at Escrow for an 18K deal last year - no issues
4. Escrow balked at 9K so I broke it up into 2 payments of $4,500.
5. I was in constant contact with the broker - there were no surprises as to what was happening
6. A week later Escrow cancelled the deal because I was only buying one domain using 2 transactions.
7. That same day I was laid off. Look at my LinkedIn, I'm not lying:

8.I was trying to figure out a possible way to deal the deal for the last few days after telling the broker I was laid off.
9. Yes, I did email 3 people marketing the name while it was in Escrow. It had been 5 days since I paid so I assumed it would be mine as soon as my credit card cleared.
10. As soon as the deal fell apart I gave the broker the contact information for the person who contacted me through marketing. I wanted the broker to sell the name so the seller would make his money since our deal fell apart. I did everything I could in good faith - I could have kept that information to myself.
11. While I was talking to my wife abut the deal we were deciding if we should just wire the money and be done with it imadoer started running his mouth on every message board he could find.
12. I found out imadoer was the seller hiding behind the broker so I completely bailed.
13. This guy has been nothing but a dick to me for a year, why would I give him any of my money especially when I was just laid off.
14. I have a wife and two small children - I have no loyalty to someone who has harassed me endlessly.
15. imadoer - This is you fault for burning bridges - was I at fault ? - Sure, I made some mistakes. I shouldn't have started marketing until the domain was in hand - lesson learned.
16. Once I found out you were the seller - I had no interest in trying to make this deal work. I will not apologize for that.
17. The broker is not at fault - Please use @Edward Smeu he is a stand guy - I even gave him Milos contact information so he can try to make a sale.
18. This is 100% truth - Ask @Eric Lyon to investigate if you keep calling me a liar - he can access all the communications.
19. The sale of hatred.com has nothing to do with this so stop bringing it up. This is on you. If you wouldn't have hidden behind a broker trying to sell me something this would have never happened.
20. If you hate me so much you should have pulled the deal as soon as you found out I was the buyer. Don't try to play this off on me. This is all 100% true and can be verified. What do you have to say now? Go crawl back under your rock - this is all jealousy.

3. NO i wouldnt take paypal especially from you what a joke.
4. I asked for escrow. You only wanted to pay in a form they wouldnt except. Its still your obligation to figure out a the way to buy the domain. I came up with away and you didnt buy it BUT YOU tried to sell my domain huh. Theres no jealousy You are guy they cant honor his agreements markets domains you dont own! One thing to add is that unless a buyer pays for a domain, then tries to keep the domain and get the money back, the buyer is still the customer.

Some customers are great and some are difficult, but the customer is the customer and the seller is the seller.

Customers and customer service is key to me. When I'm the buyer, I expect no matter what to be treated well. Even if I change my mind. When I'm the seller, I treat buyers with patience, sometimes of a saint.

I'm just old school like that. The customer comes first. Even if I don't close that particular deal.

Again i didnt try to sell you anything. Edward and you made a deal then he told me. I didnt hire him to come to you. If your saying i hired him to contact you your LYING!

You completed a 100k+ deal but it doesnt change the fact that you are NOT honorable that you prey on your peers for desperation and that you try and sell domains you DONT OWN

I rather make NO money then be like you


Who would want to do business with a guy that cant honor there agreements that will try and sell your name when you dont own it.

Buffalo is a probably a tough place to get a job and the pay scale is not so high. Money is not always the issue ,benefits are expensive as hell if you have to pay yourself and fam. my advice is get a part time job that pays benefits. my friend works in ny city school cafeteria they pay part time 4-5 hour people full benefits with summers off. I don't know if the system works the same upstate ny. If you want to broker domains I would list some good domains with you I own about 2500 domains in the 2k -5k range value ,again value means squat till there sold.

thanks for that ,I would like to add this to member ''ugly dork'' sometimes its easier to sell other peoples domains than your own ,I don't know why this is but every time a friend asked for help I was able to sell the domain for them ,this may be some kind of mental block that can be worked out, its funny a close family member of mine could never run his own restaurant ,but every time he took over a restaurant for the an owner he would bring the volume of the businesses up 3 fold running the whole show changing the menu preparing the foods and leading the team ,but for himself it never worked ,is anyone familiar with the psychology behind this
