Quite interesting that Facebook owned Oculus made this tweet hours ago linking to the below article:

Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm hoping for a little advice regarding the Domain 'Live360Cricket.com'

Twitter, Facebook and Youtube have recently adopted 'Live360' and the Commercial sector is now following trend with the availability of 360 Cameras and streaming platforms. With end user technology (smart phone, VR headsets) already in mass circulation I regged a few 'Live360' domains.

Turns out 'Live360Video.com' Sold For: 3,500USD 2015/10/03 so I did a little research and discovered the Google Exact Match Keyword Metrics for 'Live 360 Cricket' is on average 110 Million per month.

'Live 360 Football' 30 Million
'Live 360 Soccer' 30 Million
'Live 360 Baseball' 7 Million
'Live 360 Tennis' 5 Million
'Live 360 Games' 10 Million
'Live 360 Fashion' 2 Million
'Live 360 Travel' 9 Million

I've had an offer for 'Live360Games.com' and I've got my Live360 portfolio at auction (I won't mention where) but I have no idea on value If any. Any help is massively appreciated.

Not sure what kind of advice you were looking for, I didn't see that mentioned.

1st, your numbers are flawed. Google search 'results' are meaningless to the value of your names.
Look for how many searches were preformed.(how many looking) Here is a simple sample guide.
https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=Live 360 Football,Live 360 Soccer

2nd your price comparison does work with Live360Video.com. And I see it appears to be in end-use.
So I think the names have a potential. Just how much remains to be seen and I think you are putting them out there before they have the potential for end use. Even as a long-tail name.
So I would not expect to get the potential end value this year. Nor would I think you will see investors move towards them without more sales history of demand for them in end use.

JMHO -You need to be willing to hold these for 2-6 more years, if you really want to see how much potential they have, if any. Not sure what that does for your expected ROI.
But know that the sports media is controlled by big players that have no specific need for a extra VR/360 domain name. Only where a independent/affiliate can show the media will they find a end-use.
Your potential end-users will be years in the making yet.

............................

VR/360 4K Streaming standards starting to form.
http://advanced-television.com/2017/04/25/nokia-intel-haivision-demo-4k-vr-live-streaming/

Very important for the industry. 4K will likely be the standard and this format of 4k will likely adhere if there is nothing fundamentally wrong with it and we don't see 2 or 3 other formats of 4k show themselves.

I see VR.AI finished up at 3900. (sedo auction)
Was in that mess but got to high for me as it has a high level of maintenance to hold AI names.
But it should prove to be worthwhile in the end game.

Anyone here want to claim the prize ?

Neither I nor anyone else here would have thought you were trying to mislead anyone.
These kind of things happen all the time.
I make it a point to mention them from time to time so others don't assume that search results have anything to do with name value because these assumptions spread.
Probably how you got them.
Welcome to the forum !

I see that the IDN '3d.com' sold for 3.5k at sedo auction. And I have to say, those IDN folks have almost sucked me into their thinking on this twice over the last 10 years.
But after seeing that sale and others in all these years, I have to ask,
Is anyone making money/benefiting with IDN's in end use ? Please point to one if you can.
I still see nothing but investor speculation all these years.

He does end the video by saying don't just call everything XR :xf.eek:

Everyone knows Scoble is all in on the mixed reality term, but he does correctly questions the new headsets hitting the market this year.

I won't go too much further because I don't want to come across as even more obsessed with the term mixed reality or Robert Scoble

Got to admit though, I am suprised to see you mentioning the term XR, I can"t recall you ever doing that before :xf.laugh:

And just before that, he admits that 'we don't know what to name things because it's new' and pleads with 'someone to fix it'. This is the prophet of mixed reality.

Nobody knows what we'll be calling these techs in 5 - 10 years time, and the person who will 'fix it' is Joe Public, as always.

Well maybe you are right, but I cannot imagine Joe Public decided to start searching for their media format at one stage by typing in blu-ray (but I know that became one of my searches) ;)

Good point. This is why blu-raycasinos sold for x,xxx, xxx back in 2009 and blu-raygirls for high xxx,xxx in 2012.

Yes mate, I am not saying that these fads last forever.

Truth is people pretty much just search for HD now.

My point was though that the initial push for these buzz words can create a temporary buzz.

But you are right. How long these buzz words last does have a big deal to do with consumer search habits ;)

I just think blu-ray is a bit of a bad example if we're talking about an industry we hope will literally transform the world.

A better example I've already used is adult tube sites. People never searched in great numbers for 'streaming adult videos' etc. They never searched in great quantities for 'web 2.0 flash videos'. Windows calling it's new streaming application 'Flash Video' didn't have much effect on names or how people searched, it did however, help to create billion dollar startups such as YouTube and completely transform the multi-billion dollar adult industry. No doubt there were one or two future tech domainers at the time who had the foresight to see that Flash Player would transform the way we watch video online, perhaps often quoting a very youthful Robert Scoble, and consequently hand regged 200 different premium 'flash' + keyword names. Maybe they are reading this now? :xf.wink:
