$9 to $ 400 that was my biggest flip. I haven't done well from then but that was amazing experience . You care to share your biggest flip. If possible with details.
Nice. Did you list it somewhere?$864 which i just purchased only at a price of $ 9 . It was a quick flip
Nice. Did you list it somewhere?
A Chinese PinYin domain, $35k to $480k within 3 years
How did you purchase it for 900My best was $900 to $27,500 for Boarder dot com
How did you purchase it for 900
I purchased the domain in or around 1999. At that time you could pick up nice domains for less than $1000. I bought A TON of domains in the mid 90's and unfortunately, sold many of them within a year or 2. I sold a bunch of LLL.coms for $100 each! I wish I could have them back!
Hand -registered a dot-Com (August 2016) on GoDaddy.com for $8.47 and sold it 11.4.2016 for $5,000. I've been domain investing nearly 14 months now, and it was my 2nd sell in 12 months. Prior sell was a $1K > $7K flip. However, on the hand registered flip, it was definitely an undersell and the sell remorse still lingers.
What I learned from that undersell, is that leverage is critical in the domain game. One you have a large enough bankroll that you can say no to $5-$10k offers, you are on your way to being successful in domain investing.
wut. so 3Ls in the 90s were worth $100... but Boarder.com is worth $900? how is this possible :D
You should have been here back in the hay day! For example no one wanted 3 letter domains with bad letters aka "x" "z" "v" etc.
I had less than 20 (3) LETTER domains and sold them for roughly $100 ea.
Yes you are right! I have many sales in the $xx.xxx range. With that said I also sold hgh dot org for $2500 after I sniped it for maybe $100.
I bought chimineas dot com for $900 and generated at the very least $.200,000.00
I sold B88 dot com for maybe $100. I sold 4dgames dot com for $500 or around that. I leased bikeads dot come for $200/mos with $50/mos going towards a buyout and I hand regged it.
I sold glassslipper dot com for5 k and I hand regged it
I sold pointjudith dot com for $5k to a guy who vacationed in Rhode Island and that was the same reason I had the domain but when someone shows up at ur store with $5k its not hard to give it up!
With that said it was a big risk! In the earl/mid 90's registering a domain name was like $35 and the buyers weren't knocking down my doors. Snapnames was the preeminent drop catcher and I spent money grabbing domains and kept many and sold many more.
To summarize it was CRAZY back in the mid 90's! I made TONS of money BUT I also left a sh*t ton of cash on the table but no one could predict that.
