Has anyone had any experience in using RAMPED.com?
Never heard of them before so assume they are new?

Noticed the banner ad here at NP, and had a quick scan earlier today.

How long does it takes to get domains approved? Its been almost 3 days I submitted my domains, I am yet to get any response mail.

Why no ngTLDs? A name like Ramped, it could strike a chord with domainers across all dots.

The platform looks good, open it up.

My two domains from new gTLD (.online) are accepted by ramped. I also received initial bids on both these domains within first 2 days of starting auction ! These both auctions will run till mid of December.

I like the way they select the name for auction. This avoids the unnecessary saturation of domains and maintains quality names in marketplace..

Members are saying they got a response in 24 hours but I've been waiting fours days now...

Thank for all your patience, and your support for Ramped!

We are receiving a enormous spike in both Ramped users, and Ramped user submissions (a few hundred new domains are being submitted for approval almost every 24 hours). We in turn are doing our very best to make sure everyones names are getting the thorough vetting process they deserve.

We know you all are eager to get listed on Ramped, and we thrilled for you excitement! Please remember, we work with any "pre-potential" contacts and leads (prior to names being approved), to help insure you have buyers waiting and ready for your name when it does get approved into auction.

Also right now (without any extra cost to the user) every name that actually gets approved onto Ramped, is then taken individually marketed and brokered to potential end users.

Because of this, we don't want to "overload" the amount of names being taken on at any one given time. We do this to insure you name DOES get the right and the most exposure it needs (if and when) it is approved.

Please note. With that holidays going on this week, not only does it slow down the process for our brokerage and marketing teams to get responses from potential buyers and end users, but we also are giving members of our team time to spend with their families and be able to get refreshed and recharged, and come back ready to continue building up Ramped!

Thanks you all for being loyal and active Ramped users, and we look forward to working with all of you in continuing to make Ramped the #1 place to sale your domains!

Cheers and Happy Holidays!

I got one approved today, after 5 days. However, still waiting for other 5+ domains to be approved/rejected.

I just couldn't find how to delete my listing? (you know, typos etc.)

Just saw this link on his facebook page ,did not see it before .
Big Guy ,this McKay lol

Thanks for sharing. Great read! One statement regarding 2L,3L,4L .com domain names:
In the same breath I will say that these types of domains are much safer, “as long term investments”, if you’re willing to wait it out. They also drastically reduce the likeliness you will lose any money on your investment because of a small hiccup that may occur within the market.

Being a starter, I don't really understand how domain names can be a LONG term investment, now that we already have hundreds of new TLDs of all niche, fighting for their space. Are .COMs over-rated and shall we now give ways for these news TLDs?

I was pleasantly surprised when signing up. It looks good and professional.

However, I am now discouraged to see that at least one of the auctions I am following and plan to bid in has been extended by several days without any notice given at all. These names are listed/owned by McKay.

There is nothing in the FAQ/Rules section that allows for extending an auction for several days as far as I can see. If this is going to happen all the time, I don't think I will continue participating.

Sorry to hear about your discouragement about the ending time of the auctions.

We had more then one user, both buyers and sellers, contact the Ramped team realizing their domain they were selling, or a domain they were interested in buying was ending right over the holiday weekend.

(And given that a lot of members were traveling, with family, or otherwise) we did extend the auctions only 3 days (to pass the holiday weekend) for those domains whom had enough user requests.

This is not protocol by any means, and we do not normally condone time changes in auction. But because the request came from both buyers and sellers, we didn't want anyone of the potential interested parties miss out on the domains they were watching / bidding on, because of their ending time.

I do hope you understand, and if you have any further questions please contact me directly and I'm more then happy to explain further.

Thanks @oneventures and sorry about any confusion there on our part.

Okay, thanks for the explanation. If this is a one-off, then no problem. I do plan to bid on at least one of those names.

Good luck with the site!

You submitted 3L and 4N in .com?

I think McKay had mention something like they look buyers for your names. So, if your name fits the requirements, they still have to do some extra work. Once they can find leads, you might get a response. I still have few names there that are pending. Remember, they dealt with lots of names. Just be patient. :hungry:

Hey @pleasega,

So sorry to hear you haven't heard anything back yet.

If you don't mind sharing your @ramped user name or the domain you submitted I'm more then happy to take a look at where it's at in its approval cycle. :)

Cheers,

- McKay
