I have been using Epik now for quite sometime. I am a very pleased customer. Not just price but service. I once had a question that I emailed Epik about at 11:30pm and I got a personal rely with the solution within minutes from Rob, himself? Even back in his hayday could you even phantom that service from Bob Parsons? Not even that quick from one of their service reps.

Easy transfer and a Marketplace with no or low commisions.

@ramkumaritrvs - Glad you got setup on the pricing!
@NamesMax - Thanks for the kind comments and feedback - Rob still does that along with our great customer support team. We try our very best to provide Legendary Customer Support in an industry where it is clearly lacking.

Is this a limited promotion or lifetime promo for NPers? I already have an account there and may take on the offer to transfer my portfolio there if it is a lifetime offer.

@alcy - we have very advanced domain management tools in which you can add your external domains to your account.
@internext - thank you! I've upgraded your account :lookaround:
@CamMK27 - this is not a limited time promo. Let me know if you need any assistance with the transfers as we have domain concierges ready to assist to take the pain out of the transfer process!

Kind Regards,

Roy

@alcy - Our knowledgebase may be able to answer some of your questions as it contains detailed instructions and illustrations for specific functions within our domain management interface. I'd suggest if you don't already have an account, to create one and at least add some of your external domains to get an idea of just how powerful our tools really are.

Registered for an account... attempting setting up a marketplace... seems no way to do this without at least one domain registered with Epik to use for the marketplace...? Is there any way to test drive without registering a domain?

@HKIBC - Please PM me your account name and I'll adjust the pricing for your account. As for the MarketPlace, you can add external domains via this link when you're logged into your Epik.com account: https://registrar.epik.com/portfolio-import and then setup prices etc.

I'm interested in setting up and test driving own Marketplace Portal, but:
To create new Marketplace portal the domain name should be on your Epik.com portfolio

Hence, can't provide "marketplace host" in the Create Marketplace form :-/

I've asked our engineers to see if there's something we can do so that you can test out the Epik.com Marketplace... I'll keep you posted on that.

Namesilo has an identical strategy, but they make it possible to set up your own marketplaces under their domain if no domain registered with them. Anyways, I think this is a little counterproductive on both Namesilo's and your part. What's the point of offering this useful, free service, only to try and bully a potential client into registering or transferring only 1 domain with you? Hardly big time business :-,

Can't speak for others, but you've gotten my attention and then poured a bucket of cold water all over it. Big time turn off for me. You guys are pretty good using marketing pull tactics that work, so why go out of character and push here? ;)

@HKIBC - I can appreciate your point of view but it is not our intent to force customers to get one domain over for the marketplace. : ) I can definitely see where that would be a bit of a turn off. I'm awaiting a response from our technical team on this so its no longer an issue. Thanks for your patience here. Epik takes your feedback very seriously and continually works to improve every single day.

Namesilo requires that you have the MarketSite domain registered with them. Domains listed on the marketplace are the same way.

Same thing here, with Epik :guilty:

Namesilo had advertised, pushed their new, free service plus Marketplace here at NP. They almost had me. I really liked Namesilo's CP. Was thinking of moving a major part of our portfolio there. They lost me after wasting my time, first adding hundreds of domains that I couldn't do much of anything with, then back and forth with support only to find out their new service boils down to a classic bait and switch! Nice panel or not, I don't like doing business with people like that, thanks, but no thanks!

With NS you can use one domain and add external domains to the MarketSite. You seriously believe having to have one domain at the registrar is "Bait and Switch"?

If you use this discount you can register/transfer/renew .com for $8.10 WAY lower than most other registrars. Without volume discounting, that's incredible. Registrars profit margins are thin.

Price isn't everything, support and features are important considerations. I was a customer of Epik before and so far customer support has been good.

Do you need a domain at Epik to use the MarketPlace feature? Perhaps Roy @RL or someone else wants to chime in?

epik has very nice support and nice features

but the interface is the slowest one I experienced just about anywhere..

as price comparaisons.. 10$ to reg a .com is terrible.

8.1$ to transfer .com is great. I get 8.2 to transfer to godaddy but i have to pay $80 to get domain club. it's also then 8.5 to reg new and to renew .com there.

not sure what epik renewal fee is for .com?

if its also around $10 then there is no point going to epik.

if its 8.1$ or close to it.. well.. then its at least compettitive.

but the speed of that interface needs some work.
it's bad.

cheers.

Yes, if they advertise this new feature here at NP as free and open to all domains and are ambiguous about the aforementioned limitations in their CP.

Frankly, I would have gladly transferred one or more expiring domains to Namesilo if they clearly stated that up front and hadn't ticked me off big time by wasting my time with this whole Marketplaces PITA of theirs (my bad, too, first adding almost a thousand domains to the CP, before trying to configure my Marketplace... ooops!)

Lesson learned. Hence, found similar limitation at Epik first thing, attempting to set up a Marketplace before anything else ;)

@alcy - $8.10 renewal price is correct (thanks @Adam27 :lookaround:) As for interface speed, I will mention to the dev team for sure. Thank you for your feedback!
@HKIBC - check PM please.
