The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Must admit, bit of a head scratcher that name. Only thing I can see it as is that 'smarty' is like a token or ready made solution, where you have easy access to your 'smarty'.

We will always be surprised by the names startups use, check out startupranking and you will also see some weird and wonderful names.

Thanks.

Suffix specific is a little bit too narrowed considering the limited data available.. That is why I consider based from various angles and determine the average weight. Another domain brandbucket rejected from me is even in the process of sale for $3.5K
Will you publish name here after it has sold?

I just looked up the person listed as the new owner of the domain in question. He does not work in the medical industry and never has. Many years ago he did some SEO work, so he's not a clueless buyer. The domain address is a residence. None of this adds up.

My suspicions about this sale just tripled.

Why do you find it suspicious?

It was Keith's Domain he's considered an expert. Who would buy it? Check whois and see...
Congrats on the sale Keith! When I first saw the domain, I envisioned a medical form of ss.jpg

I love conspiracy theories... please go on.

I love conspiracy theories too! Conspiracy, Conspiracy, where art thou?!

I appreciate your suspicions, though, I'm failing to see the connection here. What are you adding up?

Here's what I found:

free Reverse WHOIS: 89 Domains regged under WHOIS email with several (basic) developed sites.

WHOIS Email: Google search revealed buyer recently lost his wife to a brief and unexpected struggle with bacterial meningitis. #condolences Not sure if the domain purchase is related. Just pointing out a recent medical connection.

Cliff Notes:
SmartyMed(.)com regged since 2014
BB 'Smarty' 9 Published = 5 'Smarty + Keyword' > 3 'Keyword + Smarty' > 1 (MUB) Zmarty

He's also part of several marketing agencies. Marketing agencies frequently acquire domains for their clients. Maybe he is not the end-user of this domain.

And BrandBucket do not publish their sales. Why would they fake sales, when they try their best to prevent all of their sales from even being known?

If he bought the name for a client then chances are he would put the whois under his company name not his personal name.

The twitter and facebook handle are still available and any real business would have instantly secured these already.

Don't believe for a second that BB tries to block everyone from seeing their sales. Having DNbolt publish their sales benefits them in getting more sellers and keeping the hype machine in motion.

Even though they don't publish sales it would be of great benefit for one person who is always in the BrandBucket limelight, such as Keith, to have consistent sales for everyone who follows BB to see. If they did fake sales with random sellers that are not well known and outspoken then it wouldn't benefit them at all. I am not saying that the sale is fake but I am saying that it would be a very beneficial business practice for BB if they so choose because it helps to hook more and more sellers through Namepros.

A couple of years ago when the "Director" was still an independent and not even a Brand Ambassador yet he had many sales that can be called questionable. I always wondered why every single week he would post his sales. Most of those sales are dead pages by the way. It made absolutely no sense to brag about your sales and only increase your competition especially when he had zero ties to BB at the time. It was the #1 thing that helped put the BB hype machine in motion a couple years ago. Makes you wonder if he already had ties to BB well before he became a Brand Ambassador. Go back to page 1 of the BB experience and read everything and come to your own conclusion. The answers lie within. :)

For what it's worth, Med Smarty is partly Danish and translates to "With Smarty". Not sure this has anything to do with the sale but all information is good information.

MedSmart is a thing....https://www.google.com/#safe=active&q="medsmart"

Buyer could be piggy backing off that, ie setting up a similar system

Some sales do not make any sense to the general public (just check Namebio), but makes perfect sense to the buyer and seller.

P.S. Who knows what's fake and what's not. Look at some of Flippa's sales

Do you really believe this sale might have been faked to hype up Keith as a BB seller, in order to, as you say “hook more and more sellers through Namepros”? Do you seriously believe this?

Do you have any evidence at all that some of Michael Krell’s sales might not have been real (just to create hype), or are you just making this assertion based on the fact that many of the domains bought from him have not been developed? Can you list some of Michael's sales that you believe are fake? You say I can go back to read the BBE thread from the start, and “the answers lie within” - Well, if you have the answers already, why not just share them, instead of making claims without anything to back them up?

You can believe whatever you want to believe. There are so many users here on Namepros that have 4 or 5 accounts you never know who's telling the truth. There are some big time hypers right here on this thread bragging about consistent sales. A smart businessman would keep his mouth shut unless there is an ulterior motive.

Do you have any kind of evidence whatsoever to back up the claims you have made?

Then please go ahead and expose all these "big time hypers" then. I'd like to know.

What are some of Michael's sales that you believe may not be real? Why do you believe Keith's sale may not be real, and just a scheme to hype him up, in order to attract more NP members to BrandBucket?

You have made some pretty serious claims here, but you seem to not have any evidence at all to prove them.

What are the serious claims? That I don't believe all the sales are real? I'm not the first. That he may have had ties to BB before he was a ambassador? I'm not the first. That it was part of the BB hype? I'm not the first. That he bragged about and posted his sales every single week? Well, that's a fact. :)

So this is just based on your belief? Your gut feeling about it?

Yes it's a fact that Michael posted a lot of his sales.

But I'm still waiting for you to provide evidence, anything at all, that not all of them were real. If your claim is simply based on your feelings, then no, obviously I do not believe that his or Keith's sale are fake. The only way you can convince me otherwise is to provide some actual evidence to support your assertions. Doesn't look like you are planning to do that though.

Must admit, to me it is funny that med\smarty was even accepted while my own name rebel\fox was rejected.

Perhaps my name is not techie enough, but anyhow, I like it.

Congrats to Keith on the sale.

AppFox.com

Right it's about usage, one of the reasons why a product/animal is desirable is the ease of trademarking. There is no literal, or generic meaning of say a "Fitness Fox" so Fitness Fox was able to trademark their name. http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4806:ijzwj4.2.44

Now if someone wanted to create a brand called Workout Fox and dealt in Sports bras, Fitness Fox would have justification to go after them for tm infringement.

Justin you seriously need to learn about trademarking before you post on here, it just makes you look ignorant.

I have yet to see a constructive post from yourself.

Rebel\Fox is an excellent name, with ZERO trademarks.
