There are not a lot of sales to support this theory but I sense that single keyword .XYZ domains are starting to increase in value in the minds and hearts of the people.

Before a domain name like eStars.xyz gains recognition, Keyword.xyz, LLL.xyz, NNN.xyz, LLLL.xyz, NNNN.xyz and NNNNN.xyz will probably increase in value with a moderate amount of sales per month - and consistently. We are not there yet but I believe we will get there someday.

You should already have in your mind what type of site your domain would host and it is much better to focus on development 1st, than to simply rely on sales. At least that's my take on nGTLDS.

Right now, taking out the freebies, it's only in 18th place. Next year, most of those freebies will drop, it'll be the biggest drop in domaining history. The blogs will have a field day with this. When they do, I will come here and bump this post.

Imagine an 80% drop in a week.

Most of those freebies did drop. Didn't think they would go under $1 and then basically give them away at 1 penny. Do you think those penny domains renew at a high rate? Or those under $1 regs? I think they're just kicking it down the line, not sure what they will do next year when renewal time comes around again. How do you beat a penny? Another penny promotion? give them away free? do they start paying people to register domains? Those low prices aren't something you should be happy about since you're heavily invested in them.
