Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

VR’s Astonishing Diversity and Experimentation Prevails at 2016 Webby Awards
VR awards ceremonies are not a new concept but, now that the tech is finally available to consumers, it’s time to actually start paying attention to them. First up? The 2016 Webby Awards.
The winners for this year’s internet-focused awards have been announced ahead of a ceremony on May 17, and VR has a huge presence, taking up a total of four separate categories.

and the VR sales just keep coming! I own VRmoves.com

See the high value domain sale is a definite plus what is troubling are those lowball sales. The heck? I would paid more for those instead of teevr. Move is such a general keyword. Whoever got that. Stole it for sure. Can someone explain why it sold for cheap.maybe no marketing of the auction?

the real difference is that TeeVR went to an end user that i guess really needed that name .

VRmove went to a domainer.

Well if you would have paid more for it, you would own it. But you didn't.:-o
Today's price is what someone is willing to pay today.
Hard to sell a VR name based on tomorrow's price without any data to support high value.

But, for speculation, I will say it may have been a end user brand play for something like this since it is much higher in sales dollars than we have seen with I2I sales thus far and it is no way a potential category killing name.... and this is currently on kickstarter.

teevr was in my portfolio... Congrats to the new owner!

I'm a bit late to the the party, but congrats to @DareDevilDeals on a super sale!

On other matters, I've been thinking a bit about the emergence of the "virtual reality office" setting, so I grabbed up:

Receptionist VR

(I suspect "virtual receptionists" are going to be in demand in the business-verse...) ;)

I like how it can be one of those funky ways to say TVR. As in TV in VR but I guess we shall see right?

Thanks for the feedback guys re: V+keyword+R.com domains.

I feel like a total fool having bought so many now realising they are useless domains. I should have asked for your opinions before buying but like a big eijet I thought I'd jump ahead of everyone buying left right and center!!

Would VRattention.com be worth $55 to anyone or is that a bad price? I just wish I bought more normal VR+keywords like you guys.

Don't sweat it. We've all been there.

Depending upon registrar, and how long you've had them, you may be able to ask for a refund. Might be worth checking into if you're talking a considerable amount of money.

Thanks. For some odd reason I convinced myself having the keyword itself immersed as it were in VR would catch on!!

How wrong was I

Thank you Iwon, i have many 360VR domains.
360VRBet is a nice domain too, good luck!
Have many 360 domains sold lately? I think I posted some from NB here but they were removed.

Can we discuss 360 here? Need clarity.

If it's 360VR/VR360 then absolutely, if it's 360 only then there's a dedicated thread for that.

like you said it, it's anyone's guess. so we agreed on a default here to assume all VR sales are virtual reality sales. til proven otherwise. you of course are free to assume the exact opposite of that. that all are non VR sales, til proven otherwise.... cause you're a naysayer, who says he doesn't even bother to read this whole thread... of course... I dont mind either way :)

always a great pleasure talking to you buddy! you have my utmost respect.. your domaining reputation and knowledge is remarkable! and I bow unto you! like many others here!

@alcy Why is it that everyone seems ok and you are the only one that questions it? My comments even got a few "likes", it really is common sense to get the true sales for a niche you are investing in, anyone knows that, its like Apple saying lets add the some Galaxy 6 sales stats to our EOY numbers, just so it looks good, it doesnt make sense or help anyone one. It just avoid people not get excited and reg/buy similar names when the sales aren't VR-related

cause you're a naysayer

How can you say that when I own VR names. I bought my first VR names back in 1999 and have followed this thread since it started, and you come along last year and jump on thread and seem to be the expert here

so we agreed on a default here to assume all VR sales are virtual reality

By the looks of the comments, I think it might be just "you" who agreed to assume that all sales are VR related. I really cant see everyone assuming that until there is some proof. Do you really think these are all VR related sales, most of them are domainers picking them up trying to sell them on, not end-users sales, so pumping the thread making it look like VR companies are snapping them is totally false and wont help anyone. Im sure there are some but if you check, most of them are not. A lot are purchased and are now for sale again. You are kidding yourself if you think pumping the thread like that will help this VR thread and lead to more sales..

always a great pleasure talking to you buddy! you have my utmost respect.. your domaining reputation and knowledge is remarkable! and I bow unto you! like many others here!

Nice tone, real mature...my intentions are only to help some new domaienrs, but judging by the comments, it might be you that may benefit the most from them...;)
