It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

I don't use any marketplaces...
Just Bodis and ParkingCrew sale-forms...
Then external Sedo-escrow (3% or min. $60)... sometimes escrow.com...

Thanks. I will look into that... don't like being robbed of $2000 for nothing on potential .pro sale.

I'm wondering if we are seeing foreign sales. Does anyone know where to find actual .pro's being added. Encirca used to have a great list but has since closed access to it.
As already said above...
You may request zonefile to see them all: registrypro.pro/pro/zone_file_access

Someone somewhere is splurging some serious cash, guess it remains to be seen if it offers a return or a loss.

327k is pretty big, puts .pro ahead of .science!

If this continues a 600k+ reg base doesn't seem too far away.

Forget about .science!
With GoDaddy, 1and1 and Namecheap - .PRO will be ahead of .club at least!

Is that expected anytime soon?

We (domainers) need to press on these registrars... as much as possible!

Travelogue.pro sounds like it will be an interesting website. Please post when the site is developed. Thanks.

Yesterday, while I was getting pizza, I called GoDaddy customer support. The rep answering the phone said he had never heard of .pro and that I could not register at GoDaddy. I said "You're joking, right? .pro has been around since 2004 and you don't offer it?"

GD-Support is outsourced and unuseful in this case...
You need to talk with their Marketing dept.

Very surprising that China investors' preferred LLLL.PRO domains are being cleared out while almost 2,000 4L english dictionary words remain on the shelf. Don't know what to make of it. Feels somewhat like the cart before the horse, but what do I know?

It's not for investors to get involved, think the Registry has enough connections with GoDaddy to get this done, if they can. I don't think GoDaddy even cares about smaller extensions, they're doing quite well without.

Since a lot of regs are coming out of China, surprisingly, it's quite obvious they would register domains that make sense to them, I stick to English keywords as that's the market I kind of have a handle on.

I could have registered some low quality nnnn.pro but buying domains to sell to people who could have registered those themselves if they wanted to seems counter productive, though a lot of money has been made by people doing just that, so what do I know.
