Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

Long national holidays in China, until 8 October
Holiday in China and prices are still above the 1K mark. It will be interesting to see what October 8 brings for this market:)

I dunno about the Holiday, but amount of spam never dropped, rather doubled.
Maybe they get a break from daily work and can spam full time now? ;)

Minimum Price for LLLL.com has risen to $143 based on 7 days of sales reported on LLLLSales.com.

Yet all my auctions are below this level. Is the demand cooling down?

Could be that holiday. I just had a CP 4L close and it was a tad above 1000 but not near the 1200 level that was common a few days ago.

This site shows a very slow steady decline from what was 7800 last week to 6880 today

@krx, does that indicate lesser demand or lesser supply?

I'm not sure. I think it shows that prices are gradually rising toward a $1200 minimum, a trend that's even clearer if you use $1100 as the cutoff.

If anyone has time, it would be useful to know the total number of CP LLLL.com sales reported per day on LLLLsales.com over the same period.

Also, for our Chinese language speakers, what are the sources of CP LLLL.com sales reported on chaomi.cc? Do they overlap with LLLLsales.com, or entirely different sources?

What is a realistic LLLL floor that could stabilize in the next few months... $200?

Most LLLL domains have been registered for close to $100 over the years. Overall the value would be about double for someone that registered a domain in 2005 2006 2007.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the blue and orange lines? Is it 5th and 10th percentile?

Not sure.

According to http://www.llllsales.com/charts.php, as per October 1, 2015,
- average price for lowest 5th percentile for LLLL.com is USD 143 (i.e. 1 domain in 20 sells on average for USD 143, other are sold higher);
- lowest 10th percentile is USD 152 (i.e. 1 domain in 10 sells on average for USD 152, other are sold higher);

Assuming one sale in 20 may be a distortion, and looking at the lowest one sale in 10, the floor for LLLL.com prices is already above 150.

Yet 11 of my 12 no reserve auctions of LLLL.com are below this so-called floor level. Something must be very wrong with my auctions. O_o

Are they at Godaddy or Sedo? I have noticed slightly better closing prices from Sedo. (just eyeballing it - could be wrong)

On NP - maybe your creative condition "please note that bid Increment is a minimum 2% of last high bid." makes people unsure?

On Flippa, as I understand, you have 10-30 more days to go, thus current price is not the indication.

I wish we could see median pricing, by venue, by date, etc I guess its a lot of data to process and that site is free - its a great site. I've advertised my auctions on it many times. But maybe its too much to ask from a fre site. But seeing those number might answer a lot of "trend" questions, you know?

Also, I could be wrong, but, is it possible that auctions at Flippa and NP have more of a domain investor audience whereas there may be less domain investors at the GD and Sedo auctions? And therefore less likely to bid up a domain?

You may be right. Friction to bidding is always no good to a sales process; however this will only mean good prices for the eventual winner(s) as the creative condition will eliminate potential bidders. lol

2% isn't that hard to calculate yah?

You can search by venue and by date. You can request new features like 50% percentile (median) at this thread.

Perhaps my limited experience on both marketplaces confirm the suspicion of many that bargains can be found in both marketplaces.

Sometimes I wonder eBay may be a better marketplace to sell LLLL.com. haha.

Thanks for that thread link!

I've always stuck with Sedo and Godaddy. The few times I tried Flippa I heard crickets whereas the same name would sell at Godaddy (for instance) with active bidding from start to finish. I do not have any experience selling here at NP. I may try it soon though.
