i thought it would be real nice to share some of the emails i receive from fellow domainers trying to sell their crappy names.

hopefully, some of you will read these and stop sending or see the mistakes they make so you won't make them too.

here is one from Andrew Brad, and if he is a member here...he's a clown! why? because he included every other email address he sent this mail to. thus one could harvest his list and spam them too.

To whom it may concern,

The premium generic aged domain FREDLOYAINSURANCE.NET is up for sale and I am emailing several parties that have registered similar domains OR use "[fredloya], [fredloya insurance], [loya insurance], [fred loya claims], [fredloya locations] etc." as keywords in their advertising campaigns. This is a 6-year old domain, with no drops since it was registered in 2006.

According to the Google Traffic Estimator the keywords ‘Fredloya Insurance’ receive over 40,500 searches every month, thus making this a high SEO premium domain worth thousands of dollars.

Right now, the asking price for FredLoyaInsurance.net is just $250, and is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Yes, you read it right, $250 ONLY.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a great domain at a throw-away price. If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me an email or call me directly at +91. 939-2774-412.

All transactions will held either via Paypal or via the secure services of Escrow.com.

Best regards,

Andrew Brad

Greetings,

Do you have interest for domain 'Stockimagesexchange Com'?

And it comes from a gender-bender. You can be certain that Diane is a randomly generated name. Tomorrow it will be another :bah:

I've been offered some pretty bad names as well, just ignore them or say you are not interested.

Pretty sure the seller meant "exchange" w/ the S in the previous word blending in to give a different meaning. Still, the domain sucks lol

If it's not a hyphenated version of domain you have, they offer the plural or add another word.. The funniest thing about these names are, they look so bad that they make me re-think whether my domain is worth keeping or not...

Idiocy does have value once in a while

Probably he knows how dumb he is and is ashamed and doesn't want anyone to find out his name. You could write him an email and tell him you prefer b--ook.com if he has it (available to register). he is probably so dumb that he will register it and offer it to you. Then you can tell him that you changed your mind and now prefer b-o-ok.com (also available). Maybe that way this moron will learn his domain lesson.

String him along though. After a week or 2 of him regging the other domain, he won't be able to grace delete and thus will lose money.

The domain boo--k.com is in redemption.
It's always the same mass spamming for domains that are yet to be released.

I was offered GuinnessRecord.com - an obvious trademark - by a company called Axsiom that often spams domainers with fake Westernized names, when in fact they are located in India.

I don't know but i think we should focus more on those mass spams mails.
I mean some of these messages are NOT much different than those suggestions posted in the "how to find endusers , how to contact them , etc." threads.
Yes most names are crap and these people should investigate more and don't contact other domainers with crap names, but honestly sometimes i see no difference between some messages posted here and the messages posted in the a.m. threads.

+1

Isn't it ironic ?!

That's exactly what i was going to say ...

I dunno how we are supposed to wanna do business with liars. Really, with domain buying, does it matter where you are from?

I get way too many of these a week..usually from the same people (just with different email addresses).

I wouldn't mind it if the person trying to sell me the domain actually owned the domain. That'd be fine... but they are trying to sell domains that are dropping soon before they even own it. And then they come up with some elaborate story about their their "client" owns the domain and is wanting to sell it.

I've started putting in offers for every single one I get. So far I've got 2 of them to register domains and I'm hoping I'll be able to drag out this whole thing so they go past the 5 day grace period and end up stuck with the crappy domain.

I even had one of them try to sell me a domain I already owned, but was letting drop (since the project was done with and the domain was worthless).

Hopefully this wont come back and bite me in the ass because I'm putting in bullshit offers trying to get them to register the crappy domain they claim they own.. Maybe if more people did this to these types of spammers, they'd start to lose a little money, be stuck with domains they don't want, and would knock it off.

lol...found that funny.. I would mention that I want b--ook.com, b-o-ok.com, b-00k.com, b-0-0-k.com with the net/org extension cause I don't want the competition taking these names!

I haven't been following this thread. Is it known who is training these people to do this? These are not common members of the domaining community. They are obviously on the fringes of the domain industry trying to "get money by doing something with their computer from home."

This, to me, has WarriorForum written all over it. Virtually every aggressive marketing tactic that becomes the bane of the internet is born out of that forum. They sell shoddy get rich quick ebooks in the Warrior Special Offers section that detail some pretty stupid things. One ebook for instance shows how to post an eBay auction using a photo of something and then somewhere in the description state that the buyer is getting an ebook. The buyers of course don't fully read the description and are expecting to get a package in the mail containing the item in the photo. This is the sort of thing the members of that forum are ready and willing (and dumb enough) to do. So it wouldn't surprise me if someone from within this industry is training them to spam domains.

I refuse to believe that a bunch of dumb newbies came up with this concept on their own. We need to find out who is training them. It might end up being a name we recognize.

I get way too many of these a week..usually from the same people (just with different email addresses).
It could actually be different people using the same techniques as printed in a get rich quick ebook. That's what those nimrods often do. They emulate the examples given in the ebooks to the T because they can't think on their own.
