This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

geospace the net version

contacted end user two weeks ago - nothing.

lowered the price and contacted end users again - 5 minutes after that SOLD.

Sedo $350

bought it from expired auction for $15

I am still thinking that I should have taken more for this one. Oh well - nice profit though. I guess that the buyer is happy too. Whats better than that? Love this biz.

Congrats infmoney.
Interesting that the owner of the .com bought the .org from you.
I feel like you are selling more and more these days!

Did you sell this one directly to end user or Sedo?

Thanks Gifted, this company owned this name in about 7 other extensions: .info, .biz, .es , .de, .mobi, etc.. I figured I'd email him since they are trying to protect the brand.

I sold it directly. I emailed him and received a reply about 10 minutes later. I had it parked on Sedo though.

Great Sale!

Parking the domain at Sedo helps a lot... recently I lost a pretty good deal because the end user was scared to purchase the domain directly from me without any 3rd parties involved.

So this will be definitely a good lesson for me ;)

I don't have that problem because I always transfer the domain over first and invoice the person through Paypal after they've received the domain(not a problem yet).

Thats a bit risky.
I would only do that for names for which i didn't pay much + for sellers which at least look "serious" in their web presence.

I've never had a problem doing it this way. I'm about to make another sale atm. End-users like to know they aren't going to be screwed so it helps to close deals.

I've done it this way for sales over $1,000 as well with no problems. I learned this from reading the "how to find potential endusers" where Joshuapz claimed it worked well and never had a problem either.

Just sold rentals.com.mx for 800 USD. It was funny, there was no interest and I let it expired, but in a 1 month period end user contacted me so I was able to restore it. So I invested 15 USD in Houses.com.mx when this happened :)

You are funny. :) So Ive discovered meanwhile, that the real estate market in MX is fully developed and couldnt believe that houses.com.mx was still available and term Houses has low competition :) so I simply reinvested 15 USD and this one I will not let expire.:D

It turned out to be an excellent sale at the end. Well done for spotting it in the first place.

I have a couple of mx names that i have almost let expire but renewed, just in case!!!! One name had a very low offer (from Mexico) which i rejected. It for some reason receives the most uniques of any names i have on sedo. It's a shame they are so expensive to register as a few good ones pop up every now and then and i am tempted.

You're selling these like hot cakes young man :)

PS - are you serious about being only 18 years old?

PPS - also you seem to have the ability to pick a highly knowledgeable section of the market as regards the importance of having a good domain.

com.mx are much cheaper. But it seems not so popular. If you have good keywords in .mx
you could apply for Sedo great domains auctions. But unfortunately I dont trust them being objective :)
