Just curios how the market is for these domains right now.

What is that supposed to mean ?The point here is... the 3D Printing of ten years ago is NOT the 3d Printing of today.
What is that supposed to mean ?
The best domains (in general) were registered long ago, even before the technology was in the news (I'm not saying 'mature' yet). That's predictive domaining.
Those who came late to the game are trying to catch up with handregs, that are not in the same league and won't sell easily.
PS: how many times are NPers involved in those reported sales (not the low $$$ ones) ?
With all due respect, snoop, your statement is very presumptuous. Just more of your opinion, stated as fact.
I'll let dub speak for himself. And, personally, I do need you to tell me what the statement says.
The point here is... the 3D Printing of ten years ago is NOT the 3d Printing of today. That's why 3dprinting.com sold for 25,500 EUR a week ago and not in the 8 years since the name was regged.
This is also the reason many more other 3dprinting names were regged in the last year than in the previous eight.
And, IMO, other names in the same space DO benefit when a "catagory killer" sells for a good price.
Even related names, in a given industry, like printing, are bought-up when a buyer wants a name in the space and "all the good ones are taken".
Beyond, my (or your) opinion... there is plenty of evidence. Here is one week of printing name sales from Sept., 2010:
printingforless.com.cn Sep 15,2010 $600.00
printinghub.com Sep 12,2010 €987.00
superprinting.com Sep 12,2010 $4,000.00
homeprinting.com Sep 11,2010 €3,300.00
easyprinting.com Sep 11,2010 €19,600.00
photoprinting.net Sep 11,2010 $925.00
printing2.com Sep 11,2010 $516.00
"Easy" was taken so "Super" was bought. Then "Hub". Printing was taken, so Printing2 was bought, and so on.
It does appear that domains like Easy3DPrinting, Super3Dprinting and 3dPrintingHub may be worth something -in part because 3Dprinting sold for a good price.
At the very least, to some... like names are at least worth a shot.
Do you have any evidence to support your opinion to the contrary? Merely stating it as fact does not make it so.
Sold
3dfernseher.de $5140
3d.cc sold for around $900. Price probably too low, but needed some liquidity.

on sedo auction ( not mine )
.com
3dgay currently at 750eur with 2 days left
be interesting to see what it goes for.
Here's my guess, 750 euro, it is a one offer wonder, not an auction really.

If I had the cash I'd probably make a bid on it, but then again I'm also a risk taker.
If and/or when 3D p0rn ever takes off, I think this would be one of the top 4 type-in domains for gay 3d videos or pics (and 3D web cams if this ever gets going).

was this won in auction or sold without being pushed into auction?
I am pretty sure it would fetch higher price if it would be on auction.
whoever sold this for only $5k is an idiot. this is a 6 figure name.
Well, there are not so many names that sell for 6 figures.whoever sold this for only $5k is an idiot. this is a 6 figure name.
