I have a pretty low opinion of any ebay company... The latest news, greedy ebay corp is now shaving profits from your money market account at a rate of .25%.

I will have to take a look at the site.

no one likes paypal. American Express is better than visa/mastercard, and visa is better than paypal.

HI

I have been in paypal for 5 years.... and never had any major issues... beside the few charge backs and refund/dispute requests... but Paypal has always been very helpful for me everytime,

I think if you stick to their rule of TOS and if you have an issue contact them on the phone and not via email you will find they will be happy to help you.

Thanks
Tom Dahne

If you don't do anything wrong. Then don't worry about paypal or any other company.

No one is going to freeze the accounts just for kicks.

The people who are saying that PayPal Sucks may be they would have commited some mistakes they don't know.

It also happens in Google Adsense. People get banned and then they shout like hell.

But If You were in paypal's place then would you freeze a poor guys account?

Why would paypal do something like that. They charged me sometime ago for cheques that went back undelivered and all.

But after all paypal makes our life easier.

Even a 12 year old kid could now start an online business with out any complications of merchant account and creditcard processing serivices.

If paypal would not have been on the internet, then there would have been Credit Card Scams instead of Paypal scams. Who knows.

They also charge some transaction amount for each and every transaction you make.

So imagine how much would paypal be making in one day with this automated system. :D

Why would they freeze some guys $5 or $10 just for kicks.

I can't imagine a company like paypal doing this.

If I am wrong then sorry But I didn't wanted to start Paypal Sucks theme here. It already has a forum specially dedicated to it. So I was just explaining what I understood from my experience.

What do you guys think about this? Has anyone had problems with Paypal?

While some of the laments on that site are probably true, most are probably outright bogus and/or not telling you the whole story.

People have to realize that PayPal is a 3rd party processor. they have merchant accounts and they let people use it. Therefore, they need to protect themselves because if they get their merchant accounts yanked, they are out of business.

Also, one thing that I have heard is that you have to be very careful when transacting with paypal with people internationally for transaction over $499. They will freeze your account for months while they investigate you and the other party for fraud.

I personally never use paypal for transactions overseas in excess of that amount just to be safe and I never leave any amount in excess of $50 in my PayPal account, just in case. Most of the time my paypal account is totally empty. I don't trust anyone, really, when it comes to my money. Not even PayPal.
