Today is Halloween, and I thought it might be fun to have a look at Halloween domain names. As well as summarizing historical sales in Halloween-themed domain names, I survey what is currently for sale. I even find a few possibly interesting domain names still available at standard registration cost. Along the way, I stumbled upon an interesting Halloween domain name used for redirection by one of the technology giants.

With Dofo it is easy to find that the exact word Halloween is registered in 186 extensions, of which 62 are currently for sale. The word Halloween is for sale in

Next I consulted NameBio to see how many times the term Halloween has sold. It has been part of a domain name in 81 listed sales, with an average price of $1352. The top five sales are listed below.
