After a year as an investor, how many domain names did you keep? Recently, @S8Power shared his story of dropping 75% of his entire domain portfolio after his first year as an investor. Having registered over 600 domain names this time last year, the investor, whose real name is Marc, has decided to drop three quarters of them, realising that the names weren’t as good as he thought.

Marc has warned others against registering vast amounts of names as a newbie investor, and says that he “definitely paid some learning money last year”.

Forward Your Domain to Your Potential Buyer’s Website

It’s something that a couple of domain investors do to facilitate a sale, and that is to forward a domain name to a potential buyer’s website for a short period of time. In a tip from @hookbox, the investor recommends doing this before emailing your potential buyer.

Apparently, this can create a trust factor between yourself and the potential buyer. I’m yet to try this method. Have you tried it? Does it work for you?
