A Three-Letter .COM Enters Pending Delete Status

Three-letter .COMs are one of the most prized assets an investor or an end-user could own. With just 17,576 names available, the wholesale value of a three-letter .COM is now well into the five figure range. This week we're experiencing a very rare phenomenon; a three-letter .COM has entered "pending delete" status, meaning it will be released by the registry for general acquisition.

The name in question is VIQ.com, a 20 year old name that has been developed by a Japanese media company in the past. It's not clear why the name has been allowed to expire, but as of writing it's due to be deleted very soon.
