information Breaking: Bidding on 212.com Reaches $749,999

Spaceship Spaceship
With only 1,000 three-number .COM domain names available for registration, they are a highly sought after category for investors with a large budget. Today, the auction for one of these 1,000 domain names has closed at the popular NameJet marketplace. The domain in question is 212.com which has added value thanks to it’s distinct pattern.

Aside from it’s ABA pattern, the number 212 has some distinct meanings in both China and the West. According to @Kassey Lee, 212 can mean 爱又爱 (love and more love) in Chinese, whilst in the USA, 212 may be most well known as the original area code for Manhattan, an region of New York in which over 1.6mm people live.

The domain name, which is owned by by NamePros user @sevent, failed to sell on the NameJet platform after bidding reached $749,999. This comes just a matter of weeks after bidding for one of his other domains - 27.com - reached $1.5mm without producing a sale.

If the name had sold at $749,999, it would have been one of the highest publicly disclosed three-number .COM domain sales of all time, alongside deals such as Mike Berkens’ sale of 345.com for $800,000 and Rick Schwartz’s sale of 899.com for $801,000.

It did not reach it , it was there before the auction started and not one bid.

This bidding action does not look good imo. At least someone won $50 on TheDomains.com.

Is someone testing the market instead of wanting to sale or mixture of both?.

I know what you meant, and at the risk of sounding pedantic, there are of course none "available" for registration :)

I think this is some kind of scam and there are just a bunch of people who push the value of their domains by bidding on them with prices that high and when someone wants to buy it they want to prove the value by referring to the auction.

why is the second highest bid only 20k? Seems low? Should have been at least 6 figures or am I missing something?
