Hey guys,

With the possibility of a Zune name change much like Nintendo's name change from Revolution to Wii, do you think it is better to get a Zune domain and get a site or to wait and see and then launch a site?

thanks and regards,
Techno.

So get a zune name either way? Then develop or not when the product is released?

I say as far as speculating and buying the DNs it all depends on your budget and willingness to take a gamble, whether educated or not.

I think that if you have a good size budget you should probably reg a few good names, just in case.

If everyone does this... only the really sweet names will survive. So only develop if it a really good ZUNE domain.

Well, the MS domain managers registered ZuneLive, so why not?

No, its called Zune. It did have a "codename" much like Revolution was the codename for Wii. I cant recall it right now but if you did a google search im sure you can find it.

In the UK (which I assume will be a sizeable target market for Zune), we have a shop called Argos. Dunno if there's a US equivalent, but you go in, find you product in a catalog, pay for it, and wait until they bring it from the warehouse bit. It's not exactly high end. I wouldn't want a nice high-tech product associated with it (nothing against Argos, like!)

I'm really anxious to get a Zune. I've never owned a good portable so this will be my first. I'd like to see a complete list of "Zune" domains that NP members have reg'd also.

If MS really wanted to keep a huge product like this quite then why would they reg. ZuneLive.com and not conceal the servers, use a re-direct service or something, I mean come on, Bill is not dumb... He knows what we look for.

I'm sorry, is it not possible for a huge company like MS to give a product 2 code names?? Argo => Zune => Zugo

Yes ... I've figured out the DaZuney Code.....

It will be called the Zugo.. ZuGo... They are using the letters A, R, G, O, Z, U, N, E in all marketing and un scramble them when they are ready to release.

LMAO
