Zlio.com - Anybody tried them?

http://zlio.com - after their successful venture in France, now they have setup a US version of their site.

I have setup my own site http://footie.zlio.net , just trying it out. So far i am impressed. You can use your own domain name too.

Seems that they are simply providing a front for amazon's affilliate program. This can be done on your own with an amazon affilliate script, on your own domain, without them cutting into your commission.

Do they do what's called dropshipping? Help you to establish your shop and then supply you with products? Why don't they take commission then? How do they make revenue?

It appears that zlio doesnt even dropship, they are simply an affiliate site for partners such as amazon.com and buy.com....... if for instance amazon offers a 7% commission on a product, zlio will take a portion of that commission and give the rest to you. Why would you want this when you can put up your own site, gain the traffic on your own domain, and convert your traffic to amazon / buy.com / etc without a middleman taking a portion of your commission.

The only thing I see this being good for are people who are too lazy or incompetent to create their own site to genreate the full commission they otherwise would be able to.

You can use your own domain, it has an option. Plus you get free hosting from them, though there's a link or banner of theirs on your site's pages.

I signed up for a Vlio site but havent touched it ever since. I didnt know you could use your own domain, much better idea I think
