Yours experience - Google Analytics

I have noticed that Google Analytics shows site traffic is less while statcounter or methods showing that its high. how's your experience with Google Analytics ? Google always gives something with quality but I'm now doubt about this product.

I have been using it. But seldom refer to that data provided in it.

I would rather use awstats to do my research on the traffic.

I use it along with other stat. I noticed Google shows 1/3 of the traffic counts. But it's very nice though with the traffic map. I think it might be showing the only unique traffic. I personally like it a lot.

Google analytics result vs cpanel awstats looks similar to me. can we make Google analytics update within 1 hour instead of 24 hours ? it looks too slow to me

Awstats updates like 24 hrs too.
But I think it depends on your webhost configuratuion.

I would steer clear from any of googles tools to help you with your site, how do you think they will be able to include your site in their new search indexes? You have to give them ability, I dont use anything google related accept a gmail account.

When someone does not agree with you...
Or when someone calls you out on something that is wrong or is perceived as wrong does not mean that someone is "fighting" with you.

As long as everything stays civil and without name calling it's still a discussion, either heated because of opposing views and some emotions or relaxed and in line with each other views and opinions.

In both instances it's still a discussion that makes the NP community so interesting.
Nothing wrong with that.

If i would post something that is wrong then i have no problem to see a post from someone telling i am wrong and can bring something forward that is credible and tangible.
Just a "You're wrong" to say something doesn't work or shouldn't be done in a certain way is not really that helpful.


Like i said before you can have your own opinions but you can not make or better said fabricate your own facts.

It's a very bold statement you made that Google Analytics is interfering with SERP placements.
Just as you said you could be ranked for "website directory" in one week :p

About awstats. Depending on your server it might have an option for Update Now Which updates it

I really never thought Google Analytics was that accurate. I have been using Awstats for a long time now and I'm used to it. Awstats can show you every single detail!

I use Awstats too but i saw so many talks about how great Analytics is so i thought to give it a try. but i really don't use it. does it gives you heat maps too ?

Regarding the accuracy of Awstats vs Google Analytics i have heard many so called "Experts" state that Awstats always gives a higher visitor count than Analytics and this higher figure is in fact not very accurate. I have read that Awstats reports about 30-40% higer visitor count than what is in fact the case.

Have anybody else heard this? Dont know if this is true but my personal opinion is that Google Analytics is more accurate and closer to the truth. This is only my humble opinion and i might be wrong. Love to hear your thougts on this.

I have noticed that visitor count in analytics is about 2/3rd of unique visitor count in statcounter. I tried to find the reason but in vain.
